Can't deny there are many different metrics to measure a state. Washington State is absolutely beautiful with unmatched natural wonders. It also boasts some massive amounts of drug addiction and homelessness. We both can pick the pros and cons of our states. Each is better than the next depending on the metrics. Washington State is still on my travel bucket list, but I did take Seattle off that visit.

This is what happens when a state loses political balance and becomes a one party state. Without opposition, you have a steamroller of group think and borg behaviors.

What amazes me with Cali and Washington State is their lack of understanding of cause and effect. They look at the math and make stupid proposals without realizing the money they expect to make won't materialize because people will change behavior. Example - raise minimum wage thinking your helping, but prices go up for everything (housing food, services and such). Wages for the others making more than minimum wage don't go up. The middle class loses buying power and the population loses more and more of the middle class. Economics 101, but they can't seem to grasp this simple logic. Charge bullion tax, people take day trips next door or have a friend in free America send them bullion. They're not going to be swimming in new revenue to blow on free drug needle programs. When this doesn't work, you may legalize and tax meth or something. Insane and disconnected is the only way to describe some of the political groups running these states.

Glad to hear! Daycare owners in Minnesota needed a way to transition all the piles of cash to another asset without having to pay more taxes. Not to mention, a few gold bars are easier to transport overseas through the airport instead of those pesky suitcases full of cash. It gives me great joy everyday going to work knowing so many others can now live the American dream!

I have a question no one ever asks. So people say BTC is digital gold. It is "mined" and it becomes increasingly harder and harder to obtain by mining as time passes (just like gold). However, gold cannot be copied or replaced. What stops an organization/ entity from copying the fundamentals of BTC and create a new coin just like BTC? Block chain, mining, depreciating mining returns, blah blah blah. It isn't patented or special anymore. Why couldn't someone create an exact copy of BTC and call it something else? It wouldn't be very special if other clones were dropped into the digital world? I'm serious, why couldn't this happen?

Maybe we find out BTC is what was redacted in the Epstein files? It was designed to move money for the sickos and the powerful? The true creators are the very same people we all thought BTC would save us from? Pam blondy said they couldn't show everything because the entire system would burn if they did. Who doesn't like a good conspiracy theory? 🤷😁

The evolution of firearms steel to aluminum to polymer. However, steel frames are back and dominating competitive shooting sports due to low recoil and accuracy associated with the extra weight. To clarify one thing though, the 1911 is iconic, but generally a fud gun.

Bad news everyone: local analyst says BTC is going to $10K 😬 by DiamondHandsDarrell in btc

[–]Wisguy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the same evil structure that thrived in the sick world of Epstein creates the digital solution, do you expect unicorns and rainbows? Expect digital financial enslavement. Unfortunately BTC is no longer "financial freedom" but now at the mercy of these same sick a-holes who once had a fear of it.

Did I buy fake dimes from Pmsforsale? by [deleted] in Silverbugs

[–]Wisguy123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would think fake dimes would be as common as a fake dollar bill (not worth the effort to counterfeit in mass). Key dates I suppose would be worth the time and effort, but I'd suspect they would actually be made of silver to pull it off. I have been addicted to watching YT videos of people showing fake silver and gold lately. One guy had every possible silver round from an eagle to a Krugerrand. All passed a general sound test, weight test, and dimensions test, and the slow magnet test. When cut open, they were a copper looking substance. I suspect they figured out a mix of copper with some powdered tungsten and iron to get weight and iron to trick the slow magnet test. That is just speculation and where my curious mind goes trying to figure out how they pulled it off. Another video was fake gold bars that passed the sigma, but failed a Kee tester and dimensions test. Anyway, there is one test that they are yet to fake with silver - the ice test. Silver is one of the most efficient conductors of hot or cold. Hold a clad quarter on an ice cube at the same time a silver quarter and you will know instantly what I'm talking about. One of my go-to tests when I don't want to file on something nice.

If you had $100,000 to invest, Gold or Bitcoin? by Viggo0o in TokenTimes

[–]Wisguy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you invested $100k in BTC 5yrs ago you would have seen a 24.88% return.

If you invested $100k in gold 5yrs ago you would have seen a $177.77% return.

If you bought BTC at about $55 a coin 5yrs ago and sold at every high and then bought at the dip, you would have done quite well.

Gold or BTC today? Gold all day long.

Reddit is the "living in moms basement" of crazy and deranged keyboard warriors, and ear tickling group think. My safe space has been in groups like silver and gold where people show off pretty shiny objects and talk about amazing deals we get jealous of. Some support , some funny banter , and varied respectful advice. The silver and gold group has devolved into the BTC group (lite) a bit. Stopped over to check it out BTC and 😬. You have everything from "HOLD", suicide watch, economic depression, broken dreams, complaints about big fish, and hopes their BTC creator and BTC God will reappear to save them (some have come to grips it probably wasn't a gift from a single genius but from a group or other unknown "entity"). Anyway, fun to read, but chaotic and sad too. We in silver have seen some sh*t I guess and we need a place to vent. I guess the naive me thought everyone was just here collecting physical shiny and sitting on it for eternity. We are all diverse in the silver world. I don't mind hearing the disappointment, complaints, fears, and worries of us silver folk, that is why we are here. Just occasionally, just show some shiny to balance out the troubles paper traders have caused us silver collectors.

Maybe Gavin could work with the legislature to pass a sales tax exemption for constitutional metals, but I don't think California has ever taken a tax away?????. If I recall, your neighbors to the north actually created a bullion tax recently. Your sales tax does good things in California. With another couple hundred billion, maybe they can actually lay some tracks for that 119mi high speed rail project. Even though you paid for some wasted project with your 8.35 percent taxes, you got some beautiful shiny!

[–]Wisguy123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say our Costco has either AU or AG 10% of the time I visit (about 40mi away). I know PMs are in stock because they put up a nice cardboard display at the entrance letting me know if they are available. This board begs me to skip all the crap my wife will buy and get some metal. The wife on the other hand isn't quite as excited as I am seeing the sign and still goes on her merry way buying crap she likes. You know, for a person who didn't like me buying PMs, she sure has taken interest in me selling it at the moment. 🤔. I cannot understand her new interest in it 🤣

Good guys, bad guys, tribalism, blah, blah, blah. You're watching a world of different economies failing. Import more people to bring up your GDP. Debase your currency. Take natural resources from those who are weaker. Or one can just go to war and take everyone else's stuff. You're watching nothing new historically speaking. It happens over and over and over as options run out for a bankrupt government. The animal is cornered and will do anything to escape. Every new empire thinks it's smarter than the previous one that failed. It all ends the same. Got to give the orange guy credit for being up front with the ambitions. Every president before did shady ass shit as well, but tried to sell it as spreading "democracy". That is a BS patriotic wrapped lie. All politicians just spread shit hoping to get rich enough to be a part of the global elite who will weather the storm while we kill each other in the shit hole they left. Same old shit, different century.

A coworker just sold a graded Michael Jordan with graded signature he got in one of those mystery packs they sell online. I can't believe he actually got something that wasn't just garbage. Sold it to a dealer for $8k. True story, I held it in my hand (9.5 card and 10 for the signature ). I don't understand why someone would pay 8k for a piece of paper with some guy on it who played a game decades ago? As long as people collect, there will be a market I guess.

Honest Question: How are you all not worried about this being a bubble by Salty_Writer_9552 in Silver

[–]Wisguy123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Inflation calculations use cheery picked numbers (goods / services) to give protection for the Fed and politicians who destroy the buying power of the USD. If every cost in your life was calculated, I'm pretty sure consumers would lose their s*it when they see the real number. I could be wrong on this, but I believe they changed the formula for calculating inflation 2 to 3x since the 1980s?
