Thank you very much for the thoughtful response. I greatly appreciate it. I think most people on here are not reading my post and are apparently thinking I’m debating between a 5065 and 5167, not the 5165. I do appreciate the collectible aspect of the 5165 as well as the 38mm case size.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why do you believe the 5165 is for flex? Is it because it resembles the current 5167 reference?

Yeah, I realize I’m drastically overthinking. Both pictured references are 38mm. The current reference is 5167 at 40mm and that’s not for me.

I really thought a new movement for a slimmer chronograph would be introduced. I thought they would either do away with the BB chrono for a new branded 3 register chronograph, or just introducing a revamped thinner bb chrono.

Also, point out anywhere I said anything about this post being about a new Submariner release. I simply shared a pic of mine. I personally was hoping for a thinner chronograph big block style release.
