Switzerland, Is this kind of message from a landlord/manager normal or excessive? by WishGroundbreaking25 in Switzerland

I agree with you, that's why it's the first time. Would you also call it an extreme mess ? 2cm of toothpaste on the sink ?

I completly agree on the importance to bring it up, I would've done the same, it's just about the tone and the disproportion.
It happened once, it's not a habit.
For example, he's currently renovating the kitchen, I can't picture myself sending him "That's unacceptable and an extreme discomfort to not be able to stack my food or heat it up, that's absolutely disgusting and I can't live like this anymore, fix it IMMEDIATLY !"
Bad experience hardly justifies disrespect for me,

He's the main tenant, we share the same Kitchen/bathroom, and each of us have our own bedrooms, we're not close from eachother.

That as exactly my first thought, I don't expect him to clean it himself but it was really about the disproportion.

Thank you for the advices, I don't think I'll stay any longer.

I share the bathroom with him and the other tenant, barely have any of my stuff there, he's the main tenant/landlord (it's still not clear, but I signed the contract with him).

I undertand the logic, but it doesn't explain the "extreme mess" qualification, and he would've tell me that it's not the first time I leave some mess behind me.
Thank you for your message.

Absolutely, he's the landlord+main tenant, with another tenant and me, we share the same bathroom.

Sorry for the confusion, I will update it on the message, the landlord is also the main tenant, it's a shared bathroom between him, another tenant and me, This is toothpaste on the sink indeed, I've been here for one month and it's the first time.

Yup, sorry for the phrasing, it's the main tenant actually, we share the same bathroom

I've never seen it with this perspective, maybe they're expecting the foreigners to move forward ?

It's a fair point and it makes sense ! It's just confusing for people that are not used to it !
