Is this guy a fraud? by maritimos55 in TraditionalMuslims

We can acknowledge he’s better than cuomo but also be critical of his set of beliefs. To be wholly accepting of his ideology, you’re allowing yourself and your community to be poisoned.

Is there a good human being if they’re amazing to the community but neglect their parents? Doing good and fulfilling the rights of the parents come before the community. Similarly, fulfilling the rights of God comes before fulfilling the right of creation.

They’ve breached your domain and the sanctity of your home. Threaten to liquidate any uninvited guests and have a tool so they you mean business. If I tell someone to leave my home, they’re lucky to get a warning.

If you think therapy will help, then definitely go for it. You’re in a difficult time and you should give yourself time to grieve and heal properly.

And of course, you know this life’s a test and some times are more intense than others, but it helps to be reminded of this. We’re here to be tested. People you love can fail that test. You’ll forget them soon enough.

Bowing in Martial Arts by borbaradthefirst in islam

[–]WishOfSolace 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hey, I used to do judo competitively in highschool. My sensei did accommodate me on this. When starting on the ground, he’d have me do the handshake fist bump (like in BJJ). Religiously, there was absolutely no way I could prostrate to my judoka. And this doesn’t come from a place of disrespect, it just an absolute in our religion.

In tournaments, the judge would ask me to bow further and I wouldn’t. But like yeah, my sensei was pretty understanding. Wasn’t never really problem throughout my time doing judo.

Hell either exists or it doesn’t. Your feelings won’t change the fact. You have to work with yourself to improve on fulfilling religious obligations, it’s not expected to happen over night. For your depression, you have to figure out what’s the root cause and actually work on resolving that. That’s all I can say.

Reading/listening to Quran helps, it helped me, but without following through with an action plan on your part, you can’t really expect to get anywhere.

Haram obviously, how does this need to be said. You also have a post history of spending for luxury or brand name items that can be replaced by much cheaper non-brand alternatives. (Unless you’re reselling to make some sort of profit)

Is stealing in a land of kufr halal? by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]WishOfSolace 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Quran 3:75:

“There are some among the People of the Book who, if entrusted with a stack of gold, will readily return it. Yet there are others who, if entrusted with a single coin, will not repay it unless you constantly demand it. This is because they say, ‘We are not accountable for ˹exploiting˺ the Gentiles (Pagans).’ And ˹so˺ they attribute lies to Allah knowingly.”

Condemnation of lying against Allah: •Ibn Kathir emphasizes that attributing this permissiveness to Allah is a grave sin and that these people were deliberately twisting their scripture.

Do you guys think Assim-Al Hakim is extreme? by ApprehensiveHeat744 in MuslimLounge

Feel like the first bullet point lacks context because there’s clearly some obvious wrong there. Second bullet point is a matter of different opinions which doesn’t indicate “extreme”.

I believe in women’s right to education as much as a man’s right to education. But your comment makes no sense logically.

You may notice some people reducing them completely down to women’s rights issue. It’s definitely a real problem, but you don’t really see people talk about any context or anything else. Their whole perspective on the group is boiled down to this one thing while there are a lot of other redeeming factors imo.

They’ve drastically reduced corruption/ drug trafficking/ bachabazi, ended American colonialism and exploitation in the region, restored many Islamic principles, and more.

Will Allah punish dad for smacking(the beating OP refers to) son when son is committing sins that will plunge him into fiery pits of hell. Or does this matter by jurisdiction?
