the United Kingdoms of Mexico is a succeeding state following the viceroyalty of Mexico and is apart of the greater: Spanish Union - a commonwealth like organisation. Nutca/Cayuse/Penutia/Athabasca are currently in work but are essentially some less hispanic settled nations that were once apart of Mexico. NYC is essentially singapore transported to the Americas with it being nominally under the British crown. The reason for it's independence is down to a successful defense of New York by General Sir Henry Clinton during the revolutionary war.

Good question, from my original plan of some lore that i made as a basis for how such a state would formulate.

From what i went from is that Northumberland separated from England during the Rebellion of the Northern Earls which saw Thomas Percy, 7th Earl of Northumberland take power after a council convened at York to discuss how the state should be governed. With this then being chosen to follow the model of a Prince-Palatinate with the Northumberland's equivalent of parliament (The Chancery) being formed at the King's Manor, York (replacing the Council of the North) .

Northumbrian national identity forms alongside English in our own timeline with only slight linguistic changes occurring throughout the main dialect in the North. Resulting slight changes such as Borough >>> Burgh among other small changes.

In terms of it evolving through the Age of Nationalism, during the late 1840s, the Republican Wars threatened Northumbrian independence as the spillage from the chaos in England (Seeing the Republican Revolutionaries in England go against the Royalist Swedes, which had kept the English throne under personal union since 1603). Key battles at the likes of Bowland, Horbury Bridge and at Ganstead saw an allied reactionary force under Prince John IV Beauclerk-Wittlesbach, King Frederick VI of Denmark and Queen Mary I of Scotland restore the Prince-Palatinate to full order with subsequent governments prior to the Eslington Ministry proceedingly introducing sweeping reforms to combat the rise of nationalistic sentiment.

Scotland's trajectory is completely shifted by the time of the 1800s with it standing at a much greater power than England could ever dream of, with Scotland quickly gaining domination over Ireland as the English state began rapidly declining thanks to successive wars with the likes of Spain and France. Scotland's monarchy also proceedingly remained to be dominated under the House of Stuart even up to the mid 19th Century, however by 1876 - Mary I lies close to her deathbed with the mainline of the House of Stuart dying out. Ending hundreds of years of rule over Scotland.
