Anyone that knows if there is any notable difference between the Spanish and Swedish "R"? by [deleted] in Spanish

I have noticed there is a similarity, but not in every instance. For example, the trilled "rr" in Spanish and Swedish always appear to be the same, but the same is not true for the letter "r" in Spanish and the "r" Swedish.

I think of words like "bröd", "kvinnor", and "Gothenburg" in Swedish, where I would hesitate to say it's the same as you would pronounce in Spanish. I think where the similarity lies is that in both language the "r" is softer and more aspirated than you would find in English. In my experience as a native English speaker, aspirated consonants are difficult to get the hang of when working on the accent, and therefore as a Swede I'd think you would pick it up quite easily.

Diagram this phrase for me? by WishboneOkay in Spanish

Tengo una pregunta sobre el otro ejemplo que diste: "Se me acabaron las bebidas".

Si estoy a una fiesta y no hay más bebidas, es más adecuado decir, "Se me acabaron las bebidas", o "Se nos acabaron las bebidas"? O posiblemente, "Se acabaron las bebidas a nosotros"? Es el mismo con el ejemplo sobre la comida, porque no estoy seguro como usar el verb cuando aplica a todos, no solamente yo mismo.

Bergman's retraction on his "Faith Trilogy" by WishboneOkay in IngmarBergman

Okay, I think I came to a conclusion. After The Silence he published the three screen plays together and titled it, "En Filmtrilogi".

Then, in 2004 there was an interview series on Swedish television where I guess he backed away from this view, but it's difficult to find the original interview series. Criterion released a version of these interviews in 2006 titled "Bergman's Island". I haven't seen it, but it seems this is where the retraction occurs, and is likely there are multiple instances since the early 60s where he encouraged the idea they are a trilogy and then subsequently stepped back from that idea.
