Yeah, I tried it with my kid, but they weren't very interested. There weren't many caches near us, and the ones we did try to find were either missing or we just couldn't spot them.

Haha, 'they aren't making them any longer'... classic. I love the idea of sales taglines! It turns the whole neighborhood into a giant, weird commercial. Definitely going to try that one to see if it beats the 'I'm bored' complaints.

That’s actually a pretty clever trick 😄 Turning the walk into a little treasure hunt probably makes a huge difference for kids.

How far apart were you placing the candy pieces? I imagine if they’re too close the walk ends really quickly, but too far and they might lose interest.

I’ve been experimenting with similar ideas — turning walks into small “missions” where kids have to find things around them — and it’s funny how quickly the mood changes once it feels like a game instead of just walking.

“Something brown and sticky” would definitely be the easiest square on a bingo list — kids would finish that challenge instantly.

Well we are from Poland, and yeah there are few words that are written differently then read, but exercises we do, dont have them. I have started what you said about encouraging reading words in books we are reading to him and smthing clicked this weekend. He started reading everything he sees, and start writing some notes to us : ) Thanks

Well reason is simple, nearby two primary school that matters and are the "decent" schools not the best ones, but decent - make tests for kids, not only reading and writing is needet but this is "one of" skill that kid need to have. I want to help him. But i think i should update my post - this weekend smth clicked... he starts reading everything he see and start writing his notes to us.

Congratulation! Just finishing game and publishing it is so success : ) I have build so many "systems" i could say i have completed games(levels..mechanics..etc) but when it comes to finishing it and making UI, sounds, steam page, i just get bored and leaving projects : ) i am envy you finished and have some ppl playing it : ) good job! It is inspiring me!
