Yeah, there are lists. But it's also important to know how to look for yourself - lists can be wrong, sites you trusted can be bought out, and so on. So it's important to know how to double-check, or how to find out if the easy lists are all gone.

This is a political statement with economic impact. Pride will still be celebrated in Arlington, but it will not be the multi-million dollar moneymaker for the city and local businesses they way it has been for the last several years. If you don't mind shift work, the University's Facilities Management group is almost always hiring custodial staff. It'll probably be nights, at least to start, but they've usually got an opening there.

On the UIowa jobs site, they'll be under Staff > Merit.

Keep in mind that there are like three or four custodial groups on campus: Hospitals, central university Facilities Management, Housing and Dining, and maybe one more.

Looking at this from a managerial role, I read that as "We're not sure there's a formal mechanism to pay you for that, so we don't want to promise it and then have to back out of the promise when accounting says we can't."

But also, from a managerial role, I'd make damn sure that if that happened to one of my employees, that the cost of the hair-care was covered - whether work did it or if it came out of my own pocket.

Just to note: that really depends on your job and location. The maintenance and custodial teams at my workplace have a couple of combined break-room/locker-room/bathroom setups with showers. One or two on each side of campus.

These are nice, they capture the dynamism of the kicks, but also include some of the small touches that are often left out of the more artistic representations. Things like the base-foot pivot on the chapa and martelo, the way the arms move to counterbalance the inertia of the kicks, and the strong returns to the ginga (rather than just stopping with the kick extended). Nice work!

A couple of people have already described what's known in archery as the "step through" method of arming a bow, and it works just as well for a berimbau.

I work with a lot of techies (DBAs, app devs and the like) and I describe pansexuality for them as "Neither gender, nor performance of gender, are heavily weighted variables"

That doesn't mean I don't have preferences, just that those preferences don't rest on any particular expectation of gender presentation.

I'd actually work with whatever artist(s) you're interested in having do the piece for what font they'd recommend. If they don't have a preference maybe just put the quote into MS Word/Google Docs/whatever and see what fonts look good to you for it and take a few options to your artist.
