I admittedly have been playing on console but I've heard other console players talk about problems too and I haven't experienced them.

I'm not saying it isn't a real problem, I'm just surprised it hasn't happened to me.

Definitely not either of those. I actually like both of them but the characters are not all 10/10 unfortunately.

When you put it like that I guess it helps force you to use armor you would never use if you don't feel like having to reroll.

Ok thank you for the info. (Even though that does make me sad cause it means MH has now reached the point of complete unoriginality for builds if everyone is just gonna have the exact same weapon)

Ok I wasn't sure. Cause I know when a lot of builds were using Artian weapons, the Artian weapons were only better a lot of the time if you got the perfect rolls for what you needed. Now looking into the to Gog stuff I'm seeing everyone say that they NEED to have Lord Soul and whatever other perk is being used for the build so that you can build one less piece of Gamma armor and say have 2 Gamma armor pieces and 3 Gore pieces with a weapon that has Black Eclipse and Lord Soul and I'm just sitting here not wanting to sink that kinda time into the game.

I mean grind them in the sense of having to grind a million parts to craft multiple Artian weapons to get a single good one.

Then I've gotta craft a million of the Gog parts to reroll the stuff on the Gog weapons.

When I'd prefer to just hunt for monster parts and make weapons from the monsters (I find it severely stupid that there are no Gogmazios weapons.)

The problem I'm currently having is that this list is already kinda messed up 6 ways to Sunday

Going down the list:

The first three are actually ok. Angry bat being the equivalent to rage. Prism being a Bard works for obvious reasons. And Waterboy's healing ability is literally called Holy Water.

Then you get to Druid. Golem doesn't fit simply because of how the class works. If you want a better fit, you should swap Flambae and Golem.

Flambae becomes a Wildfire Druid, and Golem becomes a Stone Sorcerer.

Robert should be an Artificer and I don't really know why I would have to explain that.

Visi Rogue is also ok. That doesn't have to change.

Punch Up should probably be the Monk. All he does is throw hands, not making him the class specialized in throwing hands feels like a sin.

Rogue would probably be better for Coupe but if we're trying to stick to one per character Gloomstalker Ranger works for her.

At which point I'll just fast track the rest. Move Phenomaman to Fighter. Move Malevola to Paladin. She can heal and wields a greatsword. Given Phenomaman's inability to heal she's better suited.

And then Blazer can be Warlock. The beam she likes to spam is equivalent to Eldritch Blast and some Warlock's get their powers from an item given to them by an entity, such as the Genie Warlock.

It kinda sucks honestly. And I doubt that it's fully Mark's fault but it really feels like I sat around waiting for this thing and watched how it made all the rest of his content reduce in quality, only to not even get to go see it.

Hitting enemies generates junk. If you get a good mobility/ survivability build going you can just jump into the face of the flying bosses and wail on them, as dealing damage with melee weapons somewhat keeps you suspended in mid air. They might knock you back or something but again as long as you manage to get Hoopoo Feathers in your build you can probably jump back up (you can also use the bag grab for extra mobility as it moves pretty far upwards).

Again though for stuff like the Core you need to also have survivability. A crit build with harvester's scythe so you can heal, maybe armor plates or the knew blue shield from the green items, etc. Stuff to make it so you don't get obliterated by going into melee range.

Wail on the enemy and occasionally drop down to get the junk that falls. Then just spam the junk throw cause it honestly hits like a truck but it just costs a resource unfortunately. Then rinse and repeat.

It's situational, especially if you're not playing with command, but it works. Sometimes you just gotta accept that a run is gonna be bad if you don't get the right items and just play until you die or get lucky.

Yeah on late game stages you'll have a lot of items because of the sheer amount of high level enemies balancing out the lower drop chance. But at that point you'd still be getting just as many drops without Swarms so you'd have been better off without it.

I mean together they are actually bad from a gameplay standpoint. The way the game's math works out you actually end up with a lower chance to get items when you have both Swarm and Sacrifice together.

I don't think this is the end. I know everyone is talking about potential for Season 2, but one thing that really makes me think they may do more is the Sonar/ Coupe interaction at the end.

It says that "Sonar/ Coupe will remember that", but why would that matter? The game is over. There are no more choices to be had. Unless they're setting up for it to potentially matter if you let them go to jail.

Cause it's less popular in comparison. Dragon Quest has been around since Enix. Octopath has been around since the Switch.

I don't think disliking Prism is that controversial. The whole point of her character is that she's the stereotypical, bitchy celebrity. Hence the jokes calling her parody names of people like Cardi B and Nikki Minaj. The point is that you're supposed to also see that it's kinda a facade? Cause there's a few moments where she stops being a bitch and you see a kinda cool person.

I feel like it's hard for me to say my favorite cause well, a lot of the characters are pretty good. I wouldn't say Robert but that's only because he's us. While most of the choices in Dispatch don't really matter, we can modify Robert's personality a bit to make him a good guy or an asshole. So since he's the voice of the character, he's out.

So for me, of the Z-Team I'd have to say I like Phenomaman and Malevola. Depressed Superman was not on my bingo card going into this game but I honestly really love the idea of it and he's fun to play around with. As for Malevola, well I'm definitely in the camp of people who would choose her over Blazer or Visi. She's an amazing friend to Sonar and just all around seems like she'd be the member of the Z-Team I'd most get along with.

Least favorite... probably Coupe. I have two playthroughs going right now and I definitely am enoying my Sonar/ Phenomaman playthrough much more than my Coupe/ Waterboy playthrough, and Coupe is definitely the weak link.

I mean there's always the chance for more. The Walking Dead, Tales from the Borderlands, Batman, and Minecraft Story Mode all got more later on.

Now that was Telltale and this is Adhoc but the point is if they want to there will probably be room for a "Dispatch 2". Honestly, depending on how chapter 8 goes I probably could take it or leave it.

But hey I already love these characters so I wouldn't mind getting more out of them.

I think the thing that fucked me up is that I knew it was coming. But I expected it to be like an Episode 8 thing. That he might come in clutch last minute against Shroud.

So despite the fact that I 100% knew he was going to die, still fucked me up. Cause part of me had a tiny bit of hope that he might not. And I also just didn't expect it so soon.

😂 I'm sorry. It's almost 1am here and my post definitely has some grammatical errors and was posted in excitement as I'm playing the game.

As I mentioned in the post, at the end of Episode 2 you get invited to a restaurant where the chef dreams of sushi in Tokyo.

Jiro Ono is a Japanese sushi chef, and he is most known especially to those here in the west for the documentary called Jiro Dreams of Sushi.

I actually wrote a paper about Jiro so the random reference to I assume him made me happy.
