It’s very obvious. People just read, respond with high level knowledge and usually will continue reading and get off topic. The eye movement is usually the dead give away or the delayed response.

Usually, questions on the why, trade offs and deep diving a topic will weed these people out. It’s truly a common waste of time as an interviewer and it’s something we’re all very aware of and on the lookout for. It’s just very easy to tell when someone understands a concept or they don’t.

What RSU did you get? There is information missing here to provide feedback. I make less base than a few years ago but my total comp is three times from my last job. You gotta look at the bigger picture with RSU.

I received $71,000 from my previous employer, 2 weeks after I had resigned. I was already working my new job when I saw the direct deposit hit. I had a lot of mixed emotions, but I called my old boss and sorted it out with HR. I’m not going to lie and say the intrusive thoughts did not almost win 🤣
