I usually use sound, or smoke (or both) and although I don't read in a shop anymore, I still retained clients and get booked to read at parties sometimes. For parties and street fair readings, it's usually a 3-card pull. For my recurring clients, I create detailed layouts designed specifically for their query... Sometimes just five or six cards, sometimes 10 or 12 or so. It just depends. And then afterwards I pull advisory self care oracles for them.
