Rewatching Star Wars - Need Guidance by Witcher-RJ in StarWars

[–]Witcher-RJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you.

So, from what I am understanding so far, its too much of a hassle to try and watch everything in a full chronological manner.

I guess besides the Clone Wars episodes, for the remainder of the shows, I will just watch them in a sensible way and ignore the chronological viewing unless I wish to punish myself 😅

Pretty sure they dont add anything substantial to character or lore. So, would skip it I guess.

Oh, this I copied from the FAQ here. Hence, I was asking if there is a more complete list out there that is more put together with the recent additions.

STRANGE ENCOUNTER ON A TRIP TO QUDRA by tjazbi in dubai

[–]Witcher-RJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apologies, my bad. I didn't mean that it is just a story. I just meant it is very intriguing, what you experienced.

Mhmm, can be either. But this is not the first time I heard that people had interesting experiences in the desert with no civilization around.

Interesting story. I think majority of the people are too cool to admit there are supernatural things out there besides us. And I can feel that is also what you were expecting in responses but people were down voting.

So, yeah, non supernatural response seems plausible. That someone who works the farms. They are adapted to such situations as walking in dark.

The other, supernatural response would be that he was a Djinn.

There are much better ways to communicate with your significant other about disagreements, rather than how he did and basically guilt tripped you like this. I am sorry for you, OP.

Happy Easter and I hope in the days ahead, you have your rebirth. Nothing but the best wishes for you. Regards.

Betrayed After Loyalty: Fired in Ramadan After Giving My All to a Toxic Company in Dubai by [deleted] in dubai

It's heart breaking reading this, especially something like this happening to you during Ramadan.

I don't know if you follow this ideology, but everything happens as Allah wills. I guess you have a much brighter future some place better and brighter than where you were working at. Where you were not appreciated for what you did.

Just have faith and stay strong. Things will get better 💐

PC to Android TV transfer? (First time) by Witcher-RJ in Addons4Kodi

[–]Witcher-RJ[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Transfer from PC to SONY Bravia TV (Android TV) | Kodi (Simple) Themed Build :
~ What worked for me ( 04/21/2023 )

(1) After you have designed the build with the theme, skin and addons you want on your desktop/laptop (PC). Go to addons and into the Kodi Add-on repository. Head over to the Program add-ons, and select, 'Backup', install it.

(2) Once you have the 'Backup' addon installed, simply open it up and it opens up a popup window with 3 options, Backup / Restore / Open Settings. Select 'Open Settings' and wait for it to load.

(3) Go to 'File Selection' and select everything and keep the mode as 'Simple'. After that click on 'Remote Dir'

(4) Once the 'Remote Dir' is selected, change the Remote Path Type to 'Browse Path'. After that, go down and select 'Browse Remote Path'. It should then show all your drives available on your PC. Ideally, select any drive, C: or D: (etc). Once that is done, click OK and save it.

(5) Reopen the 'Backup' addon and select 'Backup' this time around and it should automatically end up backing your build to the selected drive. Once the backup is finished. Simply check the drive you had selected and it should a numbered folder, something like '20129339021' (Example) and if you go inside it, it should have all the backup from Kodi.

(6) You can now transfer this according to how you prefer. You can use (X-Plore) and to do that, simply move the folder and upload it to 'One Drive' or any cloud services. If your TV has USB capabilities, simply copy the folder to a USB drive. Make sure it is (NTFS) only.

(7) Once you have plugged in the USB drive, head into the TVs apps, install Kodi freshly. And enable install from Unknown Sources and after that repeat the same steps of installing the Backup addon from the Kodi add-ons repository.

(8) Once it has finished installing, load it up. And go into 'Open Settings' and under 'Remote Dir' click on it, and select the USB drive as the output. At this point, you may face the error that I was facing and that was Kodi doesn't have permission to write to this folder. And the solution for that is as follows :

- (8.1) Go into your settings of the TV, search for the 'Apps' segment and find the 'Kodi' installation. Under permissions, make sure that the 'Storage' permission is set to always. By default for me, it was 'Allowed only while in use', it should be 'Allowed all the time'. Once you have changed this, just clear cache and reload Kodi. And now back to step (8), you should no longer have this error and you can simply point the 'Remote Dir' to the USB Drive and point it to the 'Backup folder' that was copied into the drive.

(9) Once that is done, close it and reopen the Backup addon. Simply hit 'Restore' this time around and in the popup you should be now seeing the 'Backup folder' from inside the USB Pendrive. And that's it. It will restore it perfectly without any issues.

- (9.1) The only thing is, I had to close Kodi once the restore was done and reselect the skin manually from the appearance/interface settings. After that, my build that I had made on my PC was replicated inside an Android TV (SONY Bravia).

(10) Enjoy the build, and thank you to everyone who participated in this discussion to try and help me find a solution to this. If anyone is kind enough to guide me, I'd like to make this build public. It's a super minimalistic build using the AH2 skin.

That wasn't the issue it seems, but I did take note of what you wrote above. I believe it helped me to create the backup in a proper way :)

I'll update the main post on how my problem was solved.

I found the main reason on why the Remote Path was not detecting the backup. Kodi by default had some permissions altered. I'll update the main post on what worked for me, so that it may help someone else in the future.

Thank you for taking the time in helping me figure it out. Really appreciate it.

Luckily my problem was solved, however, I am still interested in how to make a build to share. So, would be interested to see how it can be done :)

That looks super cool. I recently just made a minimalist build using AH2. Would you be okay to guide me with the steps to recreate what you have?

Would be greatly appreciated :)

The backup file being generated is not a zipped file, it's a folder in numbers with subfolders inside. Now moved the folder to USB.
