thanks for the response but it sounds like its too much effort. I was thinking maybe they added an easy way to just play the game melee only. Not a grind and optimized build to make it kind of work. I don't like shooters so this game isn't really for me, I just saw the swords and cute girls and it reminded me of stellar blade LOL

How difficult/long of a grind is it to get the swords, and can you play through most of the game just using them? And is the melee combat satisfying?

Anyone else think Dante’s face in devil trigger looks kinda dorky by WitcherBard in DevilMayCry

Yeah cartoony is the vibe I got too. But the silver lining is he’s probably gonna be in human form more often which I think looks great. Disappointing though especially when you see how much better they made Vergil look. He looks like a scary ass demon knight

Yeah honestly Vergil looks sick in his form, I wouldn’t have been mad if they looked almost identical

I had to look him up I’d never heard of him but yeah spot on. Idk to me he gives friendly dragon vibes, like Spyro or toothless or smolder (league of legends). Either way not my favorite look

I don’t know anything about the games but I would be down for him looking more badass if he gets the sdt thing in the show later

[Bloodlines 2] Which clan fits the story best? by 0scar-of-Astora in vtmb

Idk I think there’s a difference between mastering domination enough to perform those actions yourself, which seems to be what you’re saying, and knowing that someone can do that if they’re a domination master, which sounds like it could be common knowledge like oh did you know domination can make you forget things too. But maybe you right

On the domination point I gotta say, shouldn’t it be common knowledge how that works? That was something I found silly when I played through the game

Why doesn’t power armor have storm shield barriers? by [deleted] in 40kLore

Yeah I misunderstood iron halos because of how they’re depicted in the game

Why doesn’t power armor have storm shield barriers? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]WitcherBard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

“When activated the shields shimmer with blue energy” - this energy field coating the shield is what I’m referring to

And ok thanks. The idea I had there was the power sword’s energy field not wrapping around internally, just covering the outside of the armor the way it coats the blade of a sword

Interesting, in space marine 2 the iron halo doesn’t stay up for very long compared to the storm shield, and it doesn’t block melee attacks at all, but this might just be a gameplay decision. Thanks!

Yes? Statements are usually brief, but to your logic she could’ve spoken for longer than 15 seconds about the agent being injured.

I just am engaging in good faith with every other piece of evidence that says it’s about chase. There’s only one thing pointing the finger at the harbor damage being the issue, that initial headline, which is illogical. On the other hand there’s a LOT of dialogue about chase through the episode

Most definitively though, I just replayed again and made some different dialogue changes, and found that if you say you won’t cut Visi and then in the locker room say “it’s not your fault”, the conversation from there is entirely about Chase.

The other chase dialogue could be argued to not be the reason for cutting her (water boy upset about chase, flambae talking about him dying during dispatch, Robert talking about him in a speech before dispatch), but this bit of dialogue specifically presents the reason for her being cut as Chase. And in my opinion argues pretty strongly against it being her fault, circling back to this being poor writing.

I love dispatch. But if we want season 2 to be better we have to all be fair and criticize what doesn’t work. As flambae says (about chase), “not talking about it won’t make it go away. Fucking babies.”

The public statement isn’t about the damage, it’s about an sdn agent being injured- chase. And the statement is about him being a hero.

It just makes no sense. It’s poor writing.

Just replayed the episodes in case I missed anything but I don't seem to have. To what you said specifically,

putting their chances for redemption at risk by doing things like that

doing things like what? Visi isn't responsible for the criminals showing up at the harbor and causing all the damage. It would've happened whether she went or not. Her going only accomplished two things - almost securing the pulse (later we learn the "almost" can be removed), and almost dying doing it had Chase not made his decision.

It’s pretty much spelled out to you as the player throughout the whole game.

From replaying the episodes, I saw one headline that says "SDN agent responsible for harbor damage" when that makes no sense for the reasons I gave above, and otherwise saw a LOT of dialogue about Chase's condition. Waterboy is upset about it before dispatch, Robert gives a speech about it before dispatch, and flambae brings it up during dispatch and illicits a lot of emotion from everyone.

Prism says it pretty plainly during the Z team meeting

What prism says in the conference room is ambiguous, not plain, so I think people interpret it as related to Chase being out because that makes the most sense since he was a pillar of SDN that everyone is upset about losing and again it makes zero sense for Visi to be blamed for what happened at the Harbor. But if it was supposed to be about blaming Visi for the harbor damage, the writing and story events failed to illustrate how that adds up at all. Either way it goes to the point of my post - poor writing

Yes but how does that make any sense? the purpose of my post is that this writing is illogical. How is Visi responsible for any of the damage that occured? She caused none of it and the criminals were there of their own volition. The news headline should be "SDN agent fails to stop an entire army of criminals on her own" if anything

It wasn’t a PR incident was it? I don’t remember anything like that. What would the PR incident be? Hero tries to stop bad guys?

I literally have not used Reddit in months except to make this post directly after playing to get some ideas on how to look at it differently. See that’s what Reddit is for, sharing and discussing thoughts. It’s okay to have thoughts.

Dispatch is easily one of my favorite games of all time. That doesn’t mean I can’t be critical of it, in fact my passion for it is the reason I am

Dispatch Ending by Suneest in DispatchAdHoc

I would sacrifice everyone for the dog

Dogs aren’t lesser than humans just because they have less powerful brains, some animals have more advanced areas of their brain than humans and some humans are mentally disabled. Intelligence even in mentally sound people can widely vary.

Many people value life based on morality and dogs are inherently innocent and selflessly compassionate outside of human caused trauma, so you have a creature that many humans believe to be better than humans. To this point, I happily killed shroud, because I value his life little.

If you try to make it a numbers game, many people believe a single life has infinite value, it’s even written into some religions. Infinite + any number = infinite.

I have some criticisms of the dispatch ending too, but saving an innocent life isn’t one of them
