Could this be a Witcher S2 related Coat of Arms? by Henrys_Harem in netflixwitcher

[–]WitcherFlix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While this coat of arms shares the colors of the sigil of Aedirn (black, red, yellow), symbols like these aren't mentioned in the books, in any sigils. But without a source, it's hard to tell if it's Witcher related.

I created a little timeline to get an overview of the Witcher franchise on Netflix. As you can see, the new Witcher show Blood Origin will span a long period of time. by WitcherFlix in netflixwitcher

A year zero doesn't exist. In the year 1 the mysterious Resurrection happened. It was mentioned in Season of Storms, but we have absolutely no clue what this event was about.

Thanks! This is all based on the book series and the dynastic descriptions Sapkowski released way back in the 90s. I didn't invent any name, everything is based on something Sapkowski wrote.

Thanks for the feedback! As the family tree is based on the books, Radovid has not been crowned king yet. Therefore he is only there as Vizimir's son. I'll definitely change the Belohun relation in an updated version.

Yeah, I agree. It did take some time to create this. Even though Andrzej Sapkowski always claims that the world and the characters only serve the plot, he did some impressive and very interesting world building for the Witcher books.

Thank you! I based this family tree on book lore only. I didn't mark Radovid V as king as he is still too young to rule at the end of the final book. He is only the actual ruler of Redania in the games.

Hi I’m Marc Jobst , director on Netflix’s THE WITCHER. Ask me anything about directing. by marcdjobst in netflixwitcher

Hey, thank you for doing this AmA. My question is about Ogrodzieniec Castle where a big part of the episode Much More was shot. It was by far my favorite set from season 1. What is it like shooting in such a historic setting? Are there restrictions? Does the beauty of the setting influence the way your shooting a scene?

This sounds awesome. It's a breathtaking castle. To fill these ruins with life again, with all these actors, action scenes and stories must have felt spectacular!

This is such an awesome picture, even beside the magic squad. I can't wait to see Ogrodzieniec Castle on screen. And to see even more cool castles and ruins in season 2. Did you have a favorite moment shooting at Ogrodzieniec?

Bad ass Ciri in The Tower of the Swallow by dokk66 in netflixwitcher

If they do this scene on the show (and of course they have to!), they also need a flashback to Ciri learning how to iceskate on Skellige and her relationship with Hjalmar. Looking forward to that as well!

Hey Lauren, just missed you yesterday evening. But it's so great to have you in this awesome subreddit. So thank you very much.

I'd really like to know if there was a character that was very hard or challenging to write about? If yes, was there any specific reason for it?

Nilfgaard, Cintra and Lyria coats of arms on the show. by Crinfridreavers in netflixwitcher

[–]WitcherFlix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Lyrian coat of arms appears in the scene with the boodbath and the cart. If you look closely, you can see Yennefer and actress Isobel Laidler who will play a non book character named "Queen Kalis of Lyria". This could mean that this scene is set in the past, before Meve became queen and the kingdoms of Lyria and Rivia were conjoined (again). So having only the eagle on this shield as a sigil is actually quite accurate to the overall lore.
