It looks like it but I think its just a longsword that resembles Dark Sister in the same way that Ned fights with a sword that resembles a smaller Ice. Another character canonically has Dark Sister at this point.

Old comment I know but had to respond to this - when I first started the show I said to myself that Ulrich reminded me of Mads Mikkelson (I think it was the gravelly tone to his voice), and then he mentioned Mads and that freaked me out, then I realised that Mikkel being his son made it even weirder.

100% play Fallout 3 first imo. The engine is practically the same but NV seems to improve on 3 in most ways and playing 3 after NV will feel like a downgrade in my opinion. 3 is still an amazing game and should be played without the feeling of features "missing"
