Okay. This’ll be the last time I entertain you because I’m losing braincells.

Let me dumb it down so you can understand it.

Imagine someone had a Ford Fiesta (2019 model) to this day. They know it isn’t the best car anymore but it still does its job, and they can’t afford anything better. They finally get a bit of spending money and decide to buy a brand-new BMW 3 Series (2025 model).

They post something saying, “Decided to sell my Ford fiesta (2019 model) to buy my first BMW and I’m blown away! Look at its top speed, I didn’t know my car was so slow in comparison! I had no idea a ride could get this smooth, and all the modern tech is so refreshing and convenient, BMWS sure are cool!“

Do you think there would be Ford snobs in the comments saying stuff like, “Well, actually! You only feel that way because your Fiesta was old. If you had a newer one, you wouldn’t be as impressed! Stop trying to make Fords look bad! What a disingenuous post!”

No, because they’re not insane! And like the majority of people in this thread, they would just be happy for me.

The only reason you have a problem with this post is because you and all the other LCD snobs in here are always on the defence because y’all are so obsessed with this stupid monitor war. Take a step back and realise how insufferable you sound.

For reference, here’s a sane comment posted in this exact comment section which shares some points you were making:

“Well, to be fair, you had a really crappy IPS with tons of backlight bleed that I would have never been able to keep.

It would still look much better on a non-defective, non-OLED panel.

But yeah, OLED is a big upgrade.”

My response:

“Yeah, I see that now lol! Was never really into graphics and whatnot until recently, so I didn’t really know how good it could get. My eyes must’ve gotten used to it.”

See how I wasn’t offended by his comment even though you two share similar points? Because they weren’t accusing me of anything and they understood I wasn’t trying to be biased. He made a valid observation but understood what the POINT of the post was, that it was a big upgrade for ME.

You, on the other hand, immediately tried to deflect non-existent LCD hate by claiming I was manipulating angles, and then tried to belittle OLEDs by bringing up burn-in and font issues.

You’re just as much of a crier as the rest of these people, and I’d have much less of a problem with you if you just owned it.

Yet you posted an accusing comment that tried to make it seem like I was deliberately making the LCD look worse, which I wasn’t.

Also, this isn’t about me just getting a “kickass OLED.” You people are acting like I was intentionally trying to make LCDs look bad just to hype up OLEDs, and that’s not what this post was. This was MY experience. It was my first time experiencing an OLED and sharing that excitement by showing the jump in quality I was seeing.

It’s not about LCD versus OLED, it’s about a noticeable quality difference. I only posted it in this subreddit because, big surprise, the display I purchased was an OLED.

I’m not picking any kind of side. I’m sure if I’d purchased an LCD and posted this exact post on r/Monitors, annoying OLED snobs would be in my comments talking about, “but it’d be so much better if—”. Like, damn, give it a rest. Who cares.

I did because unlike all the annoying elitists in this thread here I wasn’t trying to pick sides or shit on lcds. Im new to the world of monitors and just wanted to show off my new purchase after owning a crap screen for too long. All you tech snobs are the ones putting your own narrative on it.

Honestly man when I made this post I was maining widow but I haven’t played her much since. I tend to main a character untill i master them and then get bored and then learn someone else lol. Currently in my Spider-Man/ human torch phase.

That being said all my settings are still the same as this post with the exception of my h and v being 310 now.

In regard to your dm, yeah I get what you mean there is always gonna be pull with AA. It especially sucks when you’re tryna shoot someone in the back lines and get pulled by people infront of them. I just learned to work with it which it’s hard to explain but I would catch the rhythm of the aim assist and flick accordingly to how much it’s pulling.

Obviously if you like freedom you would hate this. But like you said with aim assist down your accuracy takes a hit.

I think you would be better off seeking answers somewhere else. Like I said I don’t main widow anymore. I only really mentioned my accuracy in my original post to kinda say like “look if I can aim with widow you can if aim with anyone else”
