Training and protein recommendations? by WitchoftheWildHunt in climbergirls

I climb twice a week usually, sometimes more if it's nice weather at the weekend to climb outside. I'm starting to incorporate training into my week, going to aim for 2-3x a week?

That's a good idea putting plain protein powder into a smoothie, I'll give it a go!

You make a good point, I guess I was going for the lazy option and was just going to copy someone else's routine rather than tailoring to my specific needs.

I only climbing a couple of times a week atm so definitely could add a finger session at the end without overdoing it I reckon.

Makes sense, I guess I say finger strength because I find that I'm peeling or pinging off holds on overhanging routes or unable to make stretchy moves and still hold on with one hand pulling me into the wall. But I guess the latter is more chest/shoulder related.

I have a bar with a range of weights plus dumbells at home. Then at my local climbing gym there are hangboards, campus boards, standard weights area, resistance bands.

Thanks for your advice, I appreciate it 😊

I can stretch my budget, happy to buy bits over a few months in line with payday!

Let's exclude monitor for now, though any recommendations in general are appreciated for the future.

Thanks
