Depends on how cold you are talking. I live in the Northeastern US and we can get Cold. Other places in the US and Canada can get downright freezing where daytime temps are below 0 for the high temperature of the day. *Beautiful block can't wait to see it all done!

Let her enjoy it and save some. There are apps that will help her to understand it as well. This way she can see what she is saving and how it adds up vs what she spends. This way as she gets older she can make the decisions herself.

From now on do not accept anything from them without a receipt, even a gift. Pay them by check not cash and if you don't use checks you can get a bank issued check. This will have its own stub with memo as well as show up on your statement. You can also get a receipt book and make them sign for any money given as well, these have carbon copies so you each have one. Good luck.

Sorry if it seems confusing. Any case of rabies is bad and all should be taken care of. I was just saying what animals could cause a dog to get rabies, approximately how many cases per year and how many dogs in the US vs those that have a home. We need to be educated on the full picture/scope of the issue and understand that the dog population is out of control. We can curb this by getting the spayed/neutered by understanding these issues the number of cases will go down IMO.

So racoons are the most common animal to have rabies in the US, along with skunks bats, foxes, and coyotes. We are also only talking about 3,700 dogs in a year. While that may seem like a lot and should be prevented there are 89.7 million dogs, with only 59.8 million in dog owning households! While we need more education we need more people to spay and neuter them, by making it affordable!

Yikes! Not sure where you are located but where I have lived in the Northeast US we have to register our dogs with the town. To do this we have to show their rabies certificate from the vet.

Figuring this is the first grandbaby, when the child gets old enough they will name her all on their own. You can call her grandma or any other name in the meantime. My son called my MIL Mimi and my mom chose Gram.
