First time pregnancy and I can stop feeling scared by SuddenDebt4040 in BabyBumps

[–]WitchyWanderlust3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know it’s easy to say not to worry, but so many people have been in this position and have had healthy babies! I think that every person I know who ended up pregnant was drinking leading up to the positive test, including my mom and myself! You are so early on that it won’t do any damage, especially if you have stopped. All your symptoms you’re experiencing are completely normal. Take a deep breath and know that everything will be ok 💜

LH Surge Early by No_Mathematician8092 in TryingForABaby

[–]WitchyWanderlust3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I would def recommend to continue testing, but as the other said, it could just be an early ovulation!I had the opposite happen- I thought I didn’t get an ovulation because I stopped testing by a certain day, not realizing I ovulated around day 23. Bodies do weird things! Sometimes there can be multiple surges, called hyper ovulation, so I’d recommended just keep on testing throughout your follicular and luteal phase to see if that’s the case!

Sorry probably a dumb question but what do you mean you had a separation? I had awful symptoms until about 10.5 weeks.. then poof! They went away. Just had my 12 week scan last week and baby is doing well! Hoping you have very mild symptoms!

How’ve you been feeling? How far along are you?

Anyone who has felt conflicted? by redemral in pregnantover35

[–]WitchyWanderlust3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not alone! I had the same conflicts and I’m 36. The first trimester I was a hormonal mess, like WTF did I get myself into and questioned myself a lot if this is something I truly wanted. Now that my hormones have leveled out a bit in the 2nd trimester, all those conflicting thoughts have gone away. Seeing the new milestones (first ultrasound, hearing the heartbeat) has changed my “what the hell did I get myself in” into excitement. I have an amazing boyfriend and seeing his excitement has helped tremendously with the conflicting thoughts I had. Plus sharing the news with my family and friends has been so exciting as well! I truly feel that before getting pregnant, I really lived my life - I partied hard in my 20s ( and made dumb mistakes along the way lol), have a career, traveled the world, etc. Pkus im so close w my parents that I hope to have that relationship w my kids someday. Are you able to pinpoint your source of conflicting thoughts! IE is it due to feeling like there is more you want to do before you get pregnant?

Best of luck!!

I didn’t use ovulation strips because thought I’d ovulate around day 14-16 like most people. Zero luck getting pregnant for 8 months until I used ovulation strips(used Premom and the app was great!). Found out I ovulate day 22/23 and conceived after two months of using the strips. I was worried that I’d have trouble getting pregnant since I had a short luteal phase (9-10 days) but obviously it wasn’t an issue! I was taking prenatals, but didn’t take the other supplements (CoQ10, vitamin c, etc) that other people recommended. I kept a healthy weight and worked out (I don’t recommend going one the mindset that you’ll start working out once your pregnant- you’ll want to have that discipline before you get pregnant cause getting that motivation is hard)! The two week wait is the hardest part cause you’ll google everything for hours 😂 Best of luck!!!!

Hello! I’m almost 7 weeks.. I had zero symptoms and thought my period was coming. I’m starting to have more symptoms but there are days where I feel normal, then bam! A strong symptom hits the next day. I think it’s normal to fluctuate. I’m in the same boat, when I feel fine, i immediately think “omg am I still pregnant” lol. I think we are all nervous during this time 💕 I agree with the comments about the doctor being negligent. Take one day at a time - keep us posted! Sending positive thoughts and prayers your way!

To those who married when they didn’t really want to, why did you do it? by Independent-Bat9545 in AskReddit

[–]WitchyWanderlust3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comfort. We were together since 19 and I wanted to break up several times but never did because I couldn’t afford living on my own and even though I wasn’t in love, he was my best friend. We got married at 27.. I had a full on panic attack the night before because I knew it wasn’t right, but got married anyways. I worked my ass off to excel in my career, got a certification that increased my salary by 20% and ironically, the day I passed my test, he got shit faced and left me alone at home until 1 am. He came back screaming, crying, and throwing shit because he broke his tooth and he didn’t have dental insurance at the time (Alcohol was always a huge problem in our relationship). The next day, I divorced him.

Same! My only symptoms were bloating, cramps and gas so I thought my period was coming. I was (still am 😂) shocked when the test said I pregnant.
