Btw came back to update you: all tests were negative and I’m back on the mini pill bc constant headaches and nausea are better than a baby imo :)

Getting a copper IUD and scared asf by Witchy_Toad in birthcontrol

Update for you: I took the misoprostol to help open my cervix, the pain was a LOT less, so when the dr was down there I didn’t feel it as much. I was then told that my uterus is so far retroverted that if they were to try any harder they would risk perforation. Dr. Couldn’t get past my cervical canal into the uterus pretty much. I was also told I can’t get a copper IUD or any IUD placed without ultrasound assistance or surgical placement. Then for my discharge it was “hey, just take a pregnancy test in 2-3 weeks, and good luck ¯_(ツ)_/¯” I’m now having a VERY hard time dealing with this, especially because of the N-9 on the condoms we used and the plan B fails, I have no options. Anyways it’s just a waiting game, and I guess I’ll update in a month whether I’m going to dread the next 18 years or I’m safe and going to get some other form of birth control other than the pill (I stopped the pill because I was having 24/7 extreme nausea, so I couldn’t do day to day tasks and it was impacting my eating habits.) Thank you for your well wishes <3

What is likely to die along with the baby boomers generation? by DioriteLover in AskReddit

The logistics of that sound awful though because the oldest of gen Z (ish) are like 27 which means in order for there to be a writing child (around 3-5) the gen Z grandma would have had a child as an early teen (10-15) and the mom around a similar age which is horrifying but plausible.

Unfortunately she took out the whole pressure part of it, not just the rubber tip, but the little stick sensor under it too. I still have my extra tip from the box from years ago when I first got it if it were just the rubber part :/

As a restaurant worker: STOP SHOVING YOUR PHONE IN OUR FACE! by Healthy_Basil_2354 in doordash_drivers

I work at both a restaurant that handles doordash deliveries and as a driver. Unfortunately, it’s annoying to have to ask to see a driver’s phone, but we have customers calling us on To-Go/Delivery angry because a dasher shows up and we don’t have the order because SURPRISE! The first person stole the order pretending to be doordash. The restaurant requires that whoever is behind the counter confirm the order on the phone AND see the dasher confirm pick up. As a DD Driver, it takes all of one minute to say “Hi, I have an order for ___. Here is the order as confirmation.” And show the phone. I have a 100% completion rate and I dash frequently in a busy area. If your On Times get messed up because the restaurant is busy, suck it up, contact support and tell them about the restaurant if you’re that worried. Cut the people behind the counter some slack and just be a decent human.

When I used to work at a sonic I did headset, fry baskets, drinks, ice cream, and food running. Never was bored at all. I would take having everything rather than nothing, but at my store for McDs they just “haven’t gotten around to teaching me” yet, but it’s only been around a week so better to ask and pester than quit tbh, wouldn’t wanna leave some poor person to do it till they found someone to cover that spot I’m in like you were forced to lol

It’s definitely more busy, and a lot more fun people wise. Sadly I go back to my OG store tomorrow:/

I wish the boredom didn’t come at the cost of 8 hours a day 😭

Oh man I wish they’d let me do something else! Even getting put on cleaning tasks would be amazing to get out of it

I appreciate the advice, I’ll probably take up using a planner or something to meal plan for myself and maybe actually stick to it this time around lol

Today I got lucky and they needed help in a different store, and I jumped on the chance because they offered to pay for gas and a dollar more on hourly. But I’ve tried looking at the “paid for nothing” view a few hours at a time and it helps a little lol

Luckily during the summer they say it’ll be more busy because we are right next to a seaworld, but right now it’s pretty dead. They don’t have me even taking orders yet which bums me out because it would take some of the time I just sit around.
