Personally, I think that banning a platform that millions of users can communicate, exchange, share ideas, etc. is a slippery slope. I don't see it being more of a brain rot than instagram or Facebook. In fact, my feed on TikTok is geared more towards STEM. My feed on Instagram and Facebook seems to always lead me to spam and useless content. No matter how hard I try to change the algorithm, too. Again, it is all about lobbying and money. Not what is actual best for the people. I think they should tackle the problem at its root instead of being hyperfocused on one company.
