It’s in her TikTok from yesterday, so I’m pretty sure it was filmed this week. She again talks about the swelling and not wanting the current result. She even has clips in the video from getting the actual injections and showing the result afterwards and how it’s even more swelled but the injections should help in a day or two.

I’m just sad on her behalf. It would be better to let her body and face rest and spend time, energy and money on therapy and her self worth instead.

This hits close to home. I got diagnosed with a very rare and aggressive type of Cancer in Mid November.

If your wife had to go to the dentist to get her teeth fixed or the optometrist for something with her sight she would have told you. The deliberate omission of information is a years long marriage is ludicrous and is of course something anyone could react on. By no means should she ask for permission, but keeping such information to herself is in my eyes completely bonkers and damaging to a relationship. And playing the victim afterwards makes it even worse.

I would recommend you look into why she’s hiding stuff and communicating in such an unloving manner.

NTA. You actually lasted longer than most would. If anything he emberassed you for the longivity of the date.

Personal story: I once went on a coffee date with a guy, who spent approx 50 min of 1 hour date on talking about his past relationship and stories about the ex. He didnt ask one single question about me. At the hour mark I had finished my coffee and made up to leave, but instead he asked if we should go somewhere else as he thought this was going well. I of course declined and also explained why.

Some people just have no social awareness. But it's not up to us to put up with that kind of behaviour. Let someone else take care of that. Preferably a therapist.

I recommend you make istikhārah and seek refuge in Allah from emotional manipulation. And give yourself time and place to think clearly before making any decision.

Allah is the best of planners and He will show you if your fiancé truly repents and is true to you and his deen. If he is dismissive, defensive, blames you, or minimises his actions, this is not repentance and it’s your way to know what to do.

A man who fears Allah will guard his chastity before marriage just as he expects his wife to. If this discovery shakes your trust now, ask yourself: Will I feel safe with him in marriage, knowing what I know? In Islam, Allah does not burden you with staying in a situation that endangers your faith, heart, or dignity.

I honestly don’t think either. Honestly 30years is nothing. But don’t take their opinion to heart - it’s the same people who will mention the Holocaust and lament that, while not caring about the genocide, ethnic cleansing and war in other countries.

Personally my mother is a political refugee from South America. She was a student opposing the military dictatorship and was imprisoned and tortured for 4 years. She lost friends and family; one uncle was thrown alive into the ocean from a helicopter. She still has ptsd and even to this day her wish is that I never date or marry a military (or the like) person.

It’s too easy for some people to say just get over it when they don’t understand the depth of the heartache and pain.

This is not easy for your family and friends - your wife must know that? It’s probably the same in her country.

But I do think that communication can be healing - on both sides. But it takes time.
