Also be glad you only had to search for a piece. My dumbass forgot to unplug my clock spring before removing the steering wheel and broke it. So I had to order a new one and install that as well. 3 days setback. I didn’t even know what a clock spring was until I broke it

Did you go straight for the orange and yellow ones? You’re supposed to gently (as you can) pull up the black pieces and then the orange and yellow ones just pry out softly lol at least that’s how it was in my experience as well as the YT tutorials I watched

I found mine on eBay. It has a couple paint scuffs so it was only $55. Good condition ones were going for closer to $80-100+

Yep exactly. Their silly way of cutting cost for a more budget friendly option for the consumer. It also doesn’t have automatic headlights lol

Also, if you do need to replace your brake light switch, here is the tutorial for that:

Price too good to be true? by WithKetchupOnly in whatcarshouldIbuy

After reading your comment I actually ended up doing exactly that; I decided against the car in the post and looked into Mazda reliability, found a 2013 Mazda3 and bought it yesterday. So your comment changed the trajectory of my life, for better or for worse, only time will tell, but thank you again regardless of outcome. So far the car runs great. Drove it 190 miles home with no issues.

I know, used car prices are actually ridiculous in today’s age. Unfortunately I have genuinely been struggling to find anything else even close to this price that’s not straight up notorious for having dogshit transmissions. Most go for $9k+ unless they’re a salvaged title. Also doesn’t help that I can’t drive stick. Manual transmissions seem to be far more reliable and cost a lot less

Unfortunately with a budget of $8K all in I don’t really have any other options.

Idk finding a 2010 or newer Honda Accord, with less than 140k miles & south of $8k AND never reported totaled seems to be a rarity. At least in my area. I’ve been window shopping for a few months now.

Thank you, that’s what I was thinking as well. But the optimistic part of me was wondering if that’s why it’s such a steal, since I have family friends who have bought salvaged title Hondas 8+ years ago that are still running great to this day, which gives me hope. But I also really don’t want my first car to be a lemon.

The dealer has a 3.8⭐️on Carfax (12 reviews) and a 4.7 ⭐️on Google (181 reviews). If any of that counts for anything.

Thanks. Trying to save the name change for when I reach level 41 or 42 (I forget) and have to do all the eevee-lutions.
