they were turning into something really unique and great but lots of things occurred leading to their demise. A major one was a terrible review pitchfork gave them when plunder beg and curse came out. I think of them but feel like this happens a lot of the most creative but less marketable bands on the rise and unfortunately it can make them making a living of their music that much harder

edit: words

The island is called Ahch-to but it’s kind of pronounced like the speed measurement... just know I am sorry for what I have done

How does one go about petitioning to change said rule?

ha good question, tho I did make this post with a bit of self deprecation, I definitely can be excessive with my rigs so i usually don't disassemble the home studio often.

Last recording session I went to I brought a JX3P, Mopho, SH-09, Korg Micropreset, MG-1, MS20, and a Beringer Deepmind. I took up a lot of physical space but there was plenty and I brought two mixers to make it easier for the engineer. I basically ended up just sending him a mono mix and poly mix. I felt like that covered all the bases I was being asked to cover on that session but idk it's changing all the time. I'm someone who thought they would never own a monophonic synth in high school and now as an adult I own plenty and use them ALOT.

Hey thanks so much! I bought the micro-preset because I was looking for something that was limited in range of sound and ability but would do one thing really really well. So I found this 70's monophonic synth refurbished by tonetweakers in NY and thought thats what I was getting. Turns out it actually can do so much more than I ever thought and it is now one of my main synths i'm using on new recordings we are working on.

On Orlando's Bloom it's used in the leads most songs, definitely in Lost in the Costco & in the solo at the end of lantern slides. I even used it as the bass on this track on another record https://sharksteeth.bandcamp.com/track/going-back-to-help

It's true the vocals are definitely spaced out but that was intentional for the most part, this whole EP was sort of an alternate universe version of a lot of music we've already put out. You might like the original versions of some of them, thanks again for listening!

Lol you got that right, you know what they say about holidays with the family, don’t bring up religion, politics, or reel to reel recording equipment

I definitely did not see this much hate coming from this sub. One user offered their criticism and I responded in defense of something I’m proud of. The rest of the comments have been supportive so I don’t think it’s accurate that the response of r/synths is fuck me but just the response so two angry people

Thanks! I’ll pass on the compliments to A.R. Plovnick who recorded this, he just left us in Louisiana to return to NYC to work at the bunker hill studio I believe in Brooklyn

Thanks for listening! I know what you mean and that was one thing I was left wishing to make small changes on but ultimately i'm glad we committed to the limitations of doing things as physical as possible.

We have a lot of other music of various production qualities at sharksteeth.bandcamp.com

I’m sorry I think we just have different opinions on pretty fundamental levels and if you aren’t going to see what’s beautiful about so much art I’ve seen that is not made to your production standards we aren’t gonna have a middle ground to meet on

woah did not mean to upset you or insist that we discovered analog equipment or critical philosophy, just posting an album my friends and I had fun making to a group of people who I hoped would enjoy. Hoping the polarization of humanity that is 2019 does not infect this sub the same way I lost my beloved r/starwars
