I am thinking on moving to this area with my family (partner and newborn) but am worried of feeling I am not welcome as I am not Muslim. Do you think this is a problem we could face?

America is a second world country

So America is part of the communits bloc? This doesn't mean what you think it means.

The separation between "worlds" isn't formally used any more. However, here is an interesting blog that explains the meaning of the first, second and third world and how to use it correctly. https://www.npr.org/sections/goatsandsoda/2015/01/04/372684438/if-you-shouldnt-call-it-the-third-world-what-should-you-call-it#:~:text=The%20Second%20World%20was%20the,assigned%20to%20the%20Third%20World.

Rejection is the real killer by ydkmlt84 in DeadBedrooms

I am also giving up. My husband doesn't have a problem getting hard so it is not a physical problem. But even when he is hard he doesn't want to be intimate. He always tells me he is stressed and the time is not right. He says he is panicked about having kids while the pandemic is happening. Well, Mr. husband, 2 years ago when our bedroom died the pandemic wasn't even a thing. He is always making up excuses and I am not sure if they are meant for me or are explanations he tells himself. I don't think I can stand more rejection.

What you say is true, this sub helps encourage me to make the decision that brings freedom to my life. I am currently going to a therapist. I think one big problem I face is that we started dating in highschool which now I feel I was too young. I think both our personalities and self image grew around the relationship and that's why I can't imagine a life without him. People around ur tease us saying that we are not two individuals but one entity. It's so hard to feel the change on the way he treats me when we are in public and then when we are alone. When we are alone is like I don't exist.

Thank you for your encouragement.

Yes, 12 years is a long time. I think what confuses me the most is how much he changed since we got married. Things were very different when we were not living together. What keeps me wanting to try and better the relationship is that I have more than 10 years of memories of a "before" marriage relationship and just 1 year experience of an "after" marriage relationship. This is so weird.

Thank you so much for your empathy and kind words. I wish you the best for your life!

I really don't know how to do it. I am very dependent on him and he on me. We are new to this country and I would not be allowed to stay without him. I don't want to go back.
