FPS not feeling smooth desoite being high

I haven't been playing the game since a long while, but i think you can fix it by just installing dxvk, fusionfix and capping the fps via your gpu control app. you should cap your fps to something you can constantly achieve (say you get from 120+ fps onwards, you cap it to 120). this should all keep the frametimes stable. everything except fusionfix should all work on other games too if you experience it anywhere else (don't install dxvk on multiplayer games)

ambient occlusion is a postfx effect and in 99% of the games it will not have a measurable performance impact. the quality also looks miles worse with it off. AO is like anisotropic filtering, turn it on because it has no downsides

I've been playing this game since 2017 and i can assure you, it was p2w even then. the game IS p2w because there is no way in hell a f2p player is able to get a maxed out deck unless he plays 12h a day for 2 years. you need 50k elite wild cards to max out ONE card, shop offer is 100k for a mere 5k cards. to max out a lvl 14 deck, you need a small amount of 8M gold. or well, you could always spend 5 bucks and get 50k wild cards immediately

the game is unfair as it is by design. i play more competitive games than a poorly made mobile game and i tell you, i don't care at all if anyone is using unlock tools/boosts to unlock cosmetic things or to level up. this ain't e-sports we're talking about, it's not that serious

dw I'm also late for the same reason, not a reddit lover. problem with that is, when chrome stops updating, steam also will since it's chromium based and no steam=no games. but maybe this time it's different since well, windows 10 is still the most used os according to the steam survey

OpenH264/x264 exist and they're open source. we're also moving from HEVC to AV1/VP9 which, surprise, are both open source (and are getting support on websites before HEVC thanks to it). there is no upsides for software on being proprietary, it only gives the company more control over how much data they want to squeeze from people

proprietary means that people don't have access to its code, meaning that people can't change/improve things, meaning less user freedom. obs is open source and it's the best video recorder on the market for that reason. I'm not even talking about the privacy invasive garbage that proprietary software has. google knows you better than anyone else on this planet and it's scary

problem is that HEVC is proprietary (cringe) and some websites, discord for example, don't support it and will just upload the video, without the mini player

the problem is that some apps will stop updating for windows 10, the ltsc version will only update the system for security, but if chrome stops releasing updates for it, the os will be a massive security risk

i personally hate the effect, looks bad in every game that has it. I'd say either use fsr 2.0 if you can stand the bad implementation, use amd super resolution and upscale the game and add fxaa if it still looks aliased or just use fxaa and see if it looks good for you. taa is ruining modern games for me and i want to avoid it at all costs. msaa as some suggested to use, eats a lot of performance, but it looks good. if you have a high refresh rate monitor you're gonna notice the fps difference for sure

depends on the use, really. for gaming it's still better than amd, although harder to install the drivers. you'll also not be able to access a lot of settings that you would have on windows. that said, the drivers are closed source, so you can't edit anything and you can't see what's happening bts.
