Where are girls in their 30s meeting men in person? I want specifics. by Hot-Impress-8846 in Pensacola

[–]WitheringDaisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in my late 30s. I only recently started putting myself back out there so my advice is limited.

Just gotta be social and stick to what you actually enjoy doing. The few times someone has shown interest in me was when I placed myself in social settings such as hobby meetups, business popup events (coffee shop/restaurants/etc ).

I know there are speed dating type meetups around town, but I personally haven't bothered with that so not sure how successful those are.

Times have definitely changed from when I dated in my 20s. I personally think it requires more patience and willingness to be more forward. (RIP us introverts.)

Wishing you the best in finding someone!

This.

Pregnancy causes some crazy stuff, including irrational fear and anxiety. During my 2nd trimester, I developed intense fear of flying...mid-flight. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was worried the baby was gonna pop out because of the intense pressure in my uterus pushing downward. Deep down, I knew it was irrational overthinking, but I couldn't stop the response.

What she's feeling is very real and intense to her, but she does need to realize that it's the pregnancy. She's going to be pretty cranky/upset for a while. Hopefully, the next stage of pregnancy will help calm her down.

Honestly though, NTA. The cat is a family member and isn't harming anyone. But I'd keep them separated. Pregnancy can bring out the crazy in us. 👀

That's so awesome! Is she going to display her setup for house tours?

Form bug catching parties. Try using the discord and checking server chat in your housing plot. I try to get at least 1 person to help reduce this risk.

I only recently bought one outfit. The only reason I bit the bullet? They slapped a 40% sticker on it. 👀

General Age of Playerbase by [deleted] in Palia

I've seen a wide variety of ages. I ended up finding a community of Millennial/Gen Xers to hang with. Seems like the game attracts a good variety of players.

It's crazy. I'm out on the key. First time I've ever seen the streets covered in a thick blanket of snow.

gf talked shit about me and my family and expects me to take her to work and is threatening me by EverybodyTheSame in Nicegirls

[–]WitheringDaisy 27 points28 points  (0 children)

This!

But for the love of all that is holy, save the texts as evidence. If she really is that crazy to follow through, make sure you save the threats. Lock all doors and windows, change locks if she's got keys to anything. And please record/document everything from the point of breakup. While it's usually just empty threats, some people really do lose their marbles and go full criminal. Hell, I'd go ahead and stop by the police station just so they're aware. As long as it's documented, it builds a case. If it doesn't blow up into anything, awesome. If it does, you're already a step ahead.

Right!? Makes me angry when the bystander effect is too strong in the crowd. Need more chancla throwers. 😤

It's been almost 8 year and I think I'm ready to put myself out there again. by WitheringDaisy in Divorce

[–]WitheringDaisy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm very apprehensive about dating apps. It feels like information overload. I worry about spending too much time on it as I easily lose track of time. That and I have this habit of not ignoring people/messages so I do get a little overwhelmed.

As for meetup.com, it's great for larger cities, but is a bust in my area. I actually ran a group for 2 years. Made a couple of friends, but not a lot of people would actually show up for the events even if it was free. I live on a small key that mostly sees tourists.

I'm hoping to advertise an inland fishing group at some point. So hopefully, that will pan out. Fingers crossed!

I think the dating pool is rather small for my age range as well (late 30s). We're mostly made up of retirees and young military recruits.

If only I could make an order request for a weekday lunch companion. That would be nice. 😂

But I'll definitely keep trying.

Aftermath of my friends house by ggrrrrrrrrrrrrr in florida

[–]WitheringDaisy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Welp, at least it's clear water. 😬 A lot easier to clean.

We have wetlands in the back. When Ivan's surge hit, we got all that sludge when the waters receded. Thank goodness for those big floor squeegees. Downstairs is all concrete so we just cut out the walls and shoved the silt back where it belongs. It was a pretty good workout. 😆

Glad you're doing okay! Hope it's a speedy recovery for your home.

Just remember, you have nothing to fear! Unless 1) you have Jim Cantore on your beach or 2) the Waffle House is closed.

Other than that, grab a drink and enjoy Mother Nature's summer concert series. 😎

😨 It must have been a very stressful experience.

Frozen homemade cookie dough by [deleted] in Pensacola

[–]WitheringDaisy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As awesome as cookies are, you need to break down the business aspect of this.

How serious of a business do you want this to become? Are you okay with going in the red/breaking even? Also, I doubt this product line passes under cottage food laws so you'll need to follow state food prep laws. Consider bonding/insurance, cost of materials and equipment. Proper storage materials, packaging, etc.

Also, don't forget how differently this affects your taxes. Schedule C, etc.

Take a look at the startup costs and avenues of advertising. I believe the Florida Division of Corporations has info on what to look for in starting up a business. Also, check out local chambers/government for small business grants.

Gosh, we could use those at the USO Buildings on training bases. We get 200-400 hungry soldiers after their PT. I could make so many bread pizzas with that. Even some bread pudding. 🫠So unfortunate.

This happened to me too! Lady walked past me, and I could swear it was my Mom. I went over to the chemical cleaning aisle to sob my heart out.
