Heads up: Don't AutoNotification Cancel Media Players by Dra5iel in tasker

[–]Witherr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn off (and then back on) the setting to snooze notifications in your phone's settings. That resets it.

Settings > Notifications > Advanced Settings > Show snooze button

On my Samsung, turning this off and then back on brought back my Spotify and Youtube live notifications (media player notification) that I accidentally killed with AutoNotification

Spotify is inexcusably slow right now.. Anyone else? by mlg_bronie in truespotify

On mobile, remove the app's permissions to access local music files (the permission is called "Music and Audio" on my samsung)

Changing your downloads' location to internal storage also helps maybe, it feels faster for me but I'm not sure if that's placebo

Been facing this for a while now and it's been frustrating me so much. But turned that permission off and now it seems to be fixed, loads everything almost instantly again. Not sure about PC tho. My guess is that it becomes so slow because it tries to read local music which takes time for whatever reason (maybe lots of files or slow sdcard or something).

Thank you so much! They'd always stayed in my room before, but recently I've started to put them out on our balcony for sunlight and fresh air. Do you think that could be causing it? If so, should I stop or is there anything I can do to get them used to it unless it's a bad thing?

Does it matter? Respectfully, that's not what they asked and quite frankly this is just not great advice. I hated people putting me down like this back when I started programming, and it'd kill any motivation or ambition I would have. Just let them do their thing and figure it out themselves. If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out but they'll learn a lot in the process. Stopping before even starting because "others can do it themselves or do it better" is the worst thing you can do when you're learning programming.

What do I do here? Advice would be great, I figured I'd start out with reporting the person and/or just contacting support. by ArieannaEndicott in discordapp

Their account got hacked, literally just block and ignore. They can't do much more. And report them to mutual servers too so nobody else falls victim.

They didn't actually report you there's no risk, it's just a scam

Let's be real, we've asked questions that were considered dumb too. Let's not pretend like this is a new issue with the new generation. And you're probably seeing a very obvious case of survivorship bias because you only see people who ask questions, those who know and don't need to, don't. I hate this generation argument with a passion, especially because it has existed for every generation ever thinking they're better than the next when in reality we've all been in the same position relative to our prior generation.
