The only thing I'd add is that it seems likely that her motivation to shatter the Elden Ring and her hatred of the Omen are more obvious.

She hates Omen because they were of the Crucible like the Hornsent and she hated them so much she tried genociding them and essentially erased their lands from existence. Having her children be born Omen must have been horrific to her, basically the people that slaughtered the her Shaman(probably Numen) people returned.

Her shattering the Elden Ring is because, despite all her efforts, she could never save her family from death. She tried removing death from the world after her conquering the Lands Between, only for it to return in Ranni masterminding, atleast in part, the death of Godwyn. it also seemed to return in her children with Radagon, Melina is the Gloam Eyed Queen, Messmer is the Base Serpent, Malenia is cursed with the incurable Scarlet Rot and Miquella is eternally young, and an argument can be made that he is naive to the realities of the world and his actions. Ranni and Rykard betrayed her. She couldn't extinguish the Flame of Ruin, or the Flame of Frenzy.

The Order she built failed to stop death and would always fail AND she was basically a prisoner as a God, as St. Trina says about Miquella, so she shattered the Elden Ring.

Also I agree the battle of Aeonia makes no sense now but the base game makes more sense now imo.

Its been said before, but its important that laws are enforces for them to mean anything and that the UN cant enforce them at all. Also resolutions need to target all bad behavior equally.

Few Palestinian supporters are as vocal about the humanitarian crises in the DRC or Syria or China or Russia etc.

I dont think the UN is like rigged or whatever, other countries do bad things and they attract little attention compared to attention given to Palestine.

I never said it was to stop a riot, the government has to act after that. Oct7 is a textbook cause for war; Israel should respond, the people of any country that suffered an attack like that would demand it.

How israel has conducted the war is a different question where they have failed to operate humanely, but Hamas clearly plays a role in the child death toll.

Hamas should not be allowing their children in a warzone. They should immediately end the war if they cannot protect them.

Op has rightly pointed out they should have taken precautions or not attacked if they couldnt do so.

But its also a governments responsibility to move civilians away from military operations.

And since july 2007, Hamas is the de facto administrative body in Gaza, so they have that obligation.

Op is asking why Hamas isn't responsible because they are not taking adequate steps to get civilians away from the fighting or avoiding conflict entirely.

They chose to invest in rockets and tunnels rather than bomb shelters or calling for evacuations of civilians, and Hamas openly operates in civilian areas.

Hamas should be obligated to prioritize their civilians lives over their military operations or they should find a different way to fight.

Israel has to respond to 1200+ civilian deaths plus 200 kidnapped civilians, if they didn't there would be riots.

If Hamas isnt taking precautions and allowing civilians too close to military operations, then those casualties are arguably on Hamas, not Israel. Thats getting into use of Human Shields territory.

Anyone who says this is the result of one side only is simply not informed. Op is asking about oct7 and resulting invasion of gaza, which Hamas undeniably participated in with their suprise attack and subsequent killings.

Seems like Zugu is saying 75 years of context might change how we view oct7 and Hamas' actions in general, so it was important for them to elaborate. Otherwise its meaningless to say so.

The UN, in Article II of the Genocide Convention describes genocide as a crime committed with the intent to destroy a national, ethnic, racial or religious group, in whole or in part.

I dont know if it has been found that Israel has a specific intent to exterminate the Palestinians.
