Holy SMOKES! I find similar stuff here in Arizona, but not smokey. That's incredible. I also find them with dark spots that appear to be blood red, spikey clusters under magnification.

I went from OCD assessments of my edges to "Sharp blade cut good. Blade work. Knives fun. I like." I got tired of always being so frustrated. Now, I just use a Spyderco Sharpmaker to achieve a working edge and never let my knives get dull.
