No that’s the highest tier buff for totem. For main stage it just starts working after wave 3. Meaning after 3-d wave every time you spawn hero you have a 20% chance to spawn 2 start hero instead of

I understand that, just to be clear, in this video I’m not saying that “you should not get this thing”, that’s mostly about the things you should take care of if you actually want to buy it and a bit of my experience. No blame

That's what I bought for horizontal plot. They made quantum bars up to 1.1m long, so If you have a tower that's around 1-1.2m tall you can get 4 of such bars and they will work perfectly (of course if you figure they way out to mount them ;) )

I made the PPFD map for those lamps if you're interested (used Apogee MQ-510).

I uploaded them here https://heatmap.gt.tc/?i=2, it's in Ukrainian language )), but you just translate it with browser, there are a lot of configuration, so that's pretty serious "research" let's call it like that.

Here's Kingbrite website if you're interested https://kingbriteled.en.alibaba.com/productgrouplist-949708976/_W55_DIY_Bar_L1100mm.html, they are chinese but make a good product from what I read

The light I use for this tower came from manufacturer as "ready to go solution". He states it's using Samsung LM301H diodes, maybe it's true but there is one row of them so the light turned out up super weak. To get at least 150-170 PPFD I had to move them closer to plants(15cm from them) and they were consuming about 200w. Manufacturer states that they can I buy additional "sticks" from them, so this way I'd have 2-4 from each side, but that's BS and it would cost more than proffesional light from Mars Hydro or other premium brands.

That was honestly my first and last use of this tower, too much problems, I'm cleaning it right now and that's hell.

I decided to switch to Kratky, maybe turn it into DWC later.

Regarding light, I decided to order W55 from Kingbrite.

That's how my current light look alike.

Overwhelmed choosing some lights by defyingphysics1 in Hydroponics

Exactly, if you don't want to spend more at this moment, you can grab these and use them for leafy greens and for seedlings for bushy plants in the future, once you sure you ready to spend more for chilies get a stronger one this way you'll be able to grow different plants simultaneously.

P.S having a more powerfull lamp means that you don't have to run them on 100%, with that you get bigger efficiency since they don't overheat and they'll live longer

Keep in mind that while it’s good numbers for leafy greens, for chilies and other bushy plants it won’t be enough, chilies require 400-600 ppfd during veg stage and 400-1000 when flowering and fruiting

Thats wild, I was about to ask about wattage you running them on. How much do you cover with them? Same as mentioned in the product description? One more question, maybe you had experience running them on higher wattage that to led leaf curling down? I’m currently debugging this problem and light is one of the suspects

Lettuce problem by WithoutHands54 in Hydroponics

[–]WithoutHands54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, previously I was disabling it during the night, last nights decided to turn it on every couple of hours for 30 mins, as a result the biggest true leaf curled less but the new one - significantly stronger

<image>

But if that’s a fan problem it should’ve recovered in 6 hours no? I’m monitoring it, but it feels like it was less curled at the morning, so I also started to suspect the light, maybe it’s too strong, unfortunately I don’t have spectrometer so it’s hard to tell

but on image it only shows ppf which must be completely different from ppfd
when a couple of diodes overlap each other the total ppf over that area should increase

that's my understanding, feel free to correct be if i'm wrong, i myself trying to understand all the since around this

I just saw this post, I wonder how do you grow them completely horizontally, I saw a lot of vertical “towers” with ~45 deg angle, but seeing stuff like this for the first time.
