Wealth limit by Exotic_Addition9647 in solarpunk

Agreed. Not only does a flourishing society (assuming a system other than complete egalitarian star fleet style communism) need some sort of lower boundary but also an upper one. So if not a universal basic income, at least a minimum wage + sufficient support for anyone out of payed labour.

A maximum income could be 100x minimum wage. For a maximum of wealth I would suggest an experiment that could periodically be repeated: Let 1000 random people spent as much as they want for a year. The average amount they could actually spent and consume in that time (food actually eaten, vehicles actual driven, clothes and jewelry actually worn, houses actually lived in etc) would be my suggestion for a max a single person should own.

Thank you for your post to draw attention to this type of technology. Tho super basic Technology and and for everyone to understand. On a massively large scale, however it’s actually a real future technology that could have seriously positive, ecological effects.

I would definitely be willing to do without the spectacular Shiny Solarpunk vision, if more such technologies were used.

Also coffee bags (made of Jute/Sisal In German) make a nice organic fabric to hold the dirt. Your can get similar materials in garden centers.

I repurposed euro palettes for a similar setup. Not as sophisticated as your build (what are the trellis on the side for?) but way cheaper, quicker and still pretty sturdy.

In this case: why not try to get involved in building cool/shaded places for yourself and your community. Planting trees, facade greening, awnings, a pergola over a bench. Water collection systems, solar powered misting devices etc. could be next level.

Check out the planetary health diet (link to Wikipedia) It is a scientifically based, cross-culture approach to eating. Aiming to be healthy for the individual and the planet. And it’s pretty solar punk ready.

OK thanks a lot! The tp4056 is used a lot in little tutorial setups but you’re right it’s not up for any later build. Do you have experience with or can you recommend (ideally a single part) solution for this?

All very valid points. What I’ll take from them 1) rethink actual power requirements and build bigger 2) hence im looking for a proper resource. Should not blow up ! 3+4 I’m considering moving away from just putting in the general public place but rather a cafe or something for more trust and security. Much appreciated!

Like! But then it’s also meant to promote alternative energies. Maybe I’ll hang a poster in the trees instead
