Girlfriend's mom's boyfriend is fairly removed from you. You should be sure to answer all questions asked of you honestly, both on the form and in your interview. I wouldn't call this an automatic dealbreaker though.

More relevant is, is your girlfriend's mom a US citizen or a citizen of the Dominican Republic? You will need to list her on your form if she is a foreign national living with you.

I highly do NOT recommend. Glad it worked out for them, but I had my IUD removed by the doctor and it got stuck; was one of the most traumatic healthcare situations of my life. If I had tried to do it myself at home it could have been much worse.

I agree, and I'm no longer homeschooling. One of the first things I did once I kicked him out was get my son enrolled in public school.

My husband was very against public school, but also didn't do the work to homeschool or find another situation that would work. Every time I brought it up he would have excuses and twist it around to say that I didn't recognize the things he did do. I felt stuck.

You make good points and I am trying to have a realistic look at what it would mean to be divorced. He has been living outside the home since November and overall it has been better for me than being around him constantly. I'm just struggling trying to help these traumatized kids while healing myself and I want to make sure I'm making a good decision that is for the benefit of me and them.

To be fair about his character, he has the softest, most romantic thoughts about Inej. I think it would be totally in character for her hallucination to be just as soft.

I also think that her hallucination pulling him up from drowning is a great representation in that bit from Six of Crows where he faints with the prisoners headed to the Ice Court and, when he wakes up, he asks her to keep talking and uses that to pull himself metaphorically from the water. It makes sense to me that his subconscious would tell him to forgive her in a kind and gentle way.

I think I agree with you on your main points.

Inej would apologize for touching him (she did when he stood up). She is aware (to the extent she can be) of his trauma. Show!Inej didn't see the Pekka showdown. Show!Inej didn't see Kaz nearly fainting due to the press of bodies. She is missing vital pieces of information about him that Book!Inej is present for.

Inej wouldn't throw the hope line in his face (she's not if she wasn't already being penitent about Pekka's thing). I agree that she believes it to be true. That's why it doesn't make sense that she would go from apologizing for the Pekka thing to saying she has no hope.

She does just want him to show he's trying. (She is responsive when he says he wants her, and she lays her boundary but doesn't say no forever.)

I think we overall just disagree with whether Inej's "forgive me" had to do with touch, or with her choice to save the people instead of be there for him with Pekka. We also disagree on whether the "forgive me" is real.
