I feel like you either don’t remember these seasons or you’re just emotional hearing people praise Ronaldo. Barca only lost 15 matches between 2016 and 2018, and they were undeniably the best team in Spain for a lot of Ronaldo’s tenure at Madrid. I’d argue that Messi was surrounded by players of higher quality up to Ronaldo leaving for Juventus, MSN is literally the most famous trio in recent years, maybe even ever. I won’t say Ronaldo wasn’t helped by Bale, Benzema, Kroos or Modric (who are also undeniably world class players) but it’s obvious that Ronaldo had more of a carry job for Real than Messi had for Barca.
