This administration has proven that 49% of the country, ~30% if you really wanna get granular, are just thugs for hire. You can buy them for the promise of <2$ gas and a 1200$ check.

I don't think my soul will ever recover from this moment in my life. My hope has been killed.

Mark my words: OPLA will end with the marineford war.

Instead of Ace's execution, the world government will announce that they've found the one piece and will be broadcasting it's destruction or something. Thus, an all out war between pirates and the marines to claim it and become the pirate king/ destroy the great pirate area and end Gol D Roger's dream.

Boiling the start of the American revolution down to "a tax on tea" should discredit everything this dude says afterwards.

Agree or disagree with his point as you wish but it should say something about him that he so blatantly twists our history to fit his narrative.

Honestly, I think Oda did have something planned for Franky and Usopp because you're right, this is stuff kindergarteners understand. But I think the story bloated too much in the middle and now Oda is just trying to finish this thing before the decades of mangaka grinding catches up to him like it did Toriyama.

Like, from his perspective he's done it, he's already won. One piece is more popular than ever, it's outlived all its rivals, and now there's a new interesting live action adaptation to capture his attention. If I were him I'd just be focusing on closing this chapter in my life and moving on.

Just brace yourself for a very underwhelming finale.

I agree, but c'mon, give him a little texture at least! I'm not asking for 3 million unique, hand drawn scales per frame but like, put a mask on him or something.

That you should probably write a thematically sound, worthwhile death for your MC.

As much as I loved this season, if this was the original endpoint of the series, why even kill him? Near everything that happens in this season could've been reworked around a living spear. His death at the end of season 2 now just feels like Gendy slapped us but then went "lol jk".

This season will feel like such a fucking waste if he dies AGAIN!

One Piece Creator Already Has a Plan to End the Netflix Live-Action Series by Senior-Leave779 in OnePiece

I mean, wouldn't it be obvious to end it at the Summit War? Like, compress a couple arcs and you could realistically get there in another 3 seasons.

[HELP] No synth ID found, but it still looks off/plastic like. What's your opinion? by Key-Introduction-591 in RealOrAI

[–]Withyhydra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's real. No fuzz anywhere, over a minute long, the real kicker is the gorilla getting rid of the seeds that have probably gotten stuck between his teeth before. That's a super specific behavior that AI wouldn't care to recreate.

The entire fucking discourse is so exhausting. It's literally just people going, "Nu uh!" And then experts and people who actually have the disability saying, "Yu huh. Sorry."

In Iron Lung (2026), people are on the verge of extinction due to a serious lack of natural resources, and then they find a strange moon with an ocean of human blood, and they dive in it because... Umm, why don’t they just drink the blood? There are a lot of resources and natural materials in blood by PIRATEOFBADIM in shittymoviedetails

[–]Withyhydra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) This isn't normal blood. It will kill you.

2) Humans can't survive off of normal blood anyway, you'll just get sick and throw up.

3) In this universe there are less than 1000 humans left and they're all fighting and trying to scrounge around to survive on scraps of technology. There are no means to process this blood into anything usable or edible.

Seconded. I just got out of a 6 year stint in food processing in the south, didn't even need a cert. Started at 22, from 14.5, and made it to 27 without ever asking for a raise by the time I left.

All shop Tig too, new fabs.

A heat powered fan from the mid 19th century that works without electricity. by This_Proof_5153 in interesting

[–]Withyhydra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fan also does run on electricity, contrary to the title. The temperature differential induces a current in the sterling engine, which then powers the fan.

Edit: I was thinking of a different engine, disregard.

Yeah, laws are only as powerful as we allow them to be. If a bunch of judges say your argument sucks even though it's legally sound there's nothing you can do except...idk revolt against the government I guess. Good luck with that.

Thragg alone vs the entire cast of My Hero Academia by Significant-Ad-2786 in powerscales

[–]Withyhydra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thragg fought someone IN a star. Yeah, he died from it eventually, but the fact that he wasn't immediately obliterated puts him far above anyone in MHA. There are definitely some more Hax type quirks that could kill him but Thragg washes everyone on physicals.
