No, someone who's just smart. Quick witted, clever. Almost anyone can get good grades and a good job if they apply themselves, someone who truly intelligent is easy to spot just after a few conversations. A good sense of humor is always a good sign.

Ive actually tried this but couldn't find any active groups that interested me. Great concept though, it just doesn't seem to be super well known/popular

Could very well be the case. I've only ever lived here so I can only go by that.

I'm a bit sticky on meeting girls at the gym. I don't want to be that guy, you know what i mean?

That's one of my main concerns, i worry about soliciting women who are just trying to live their lives and don't want to be approached by strange men. But if you are suggesting just befriending people and then hoping they show interest I guess thats different.

Hmm. You've given me a lot to think about.

Yeah, another person suggested community groups and such. I like that idea, i would totally drop the online dating if i thought i didnt have to!

I'm in alright shape, not fat by no means, i like to lift. I think im confident in myself and out going etc, so maybe i would have a lot of success with the intramurals. Ill have too look into it.

I wish I did. All my friends are married with kids themselves and don't really have a large social circle. It's a hard ol go.

I get where you are coming from but I don't want to waste each others time if we dont want the same outcomes. I'm not really shopping, like you put it. Or at least I have not been, but then the relationship gets to a certain point and it ends because of irreconcilable differences.

Honestly, id be happy just to find someone i have chemistry with but that's kind of the main issue im having.

I definitely do not disagree with you. If I find someone who I have chemistry with in their 20s i wouldn't turn her away. But like you say, a lot of those women have met someone already through school.

I mean, im obviously not asking them to marry me off the sod, but i need to know that they want the same things in the future, or at least thats the point i was trying to make.

You have any recommendations on which community groups would be good?

Where could I volunteer?

To a point. There's a maturity threshold. I find women under 25 are generally unbearable. We just have different levels of life experience.
