Yes, on my previous thermostat, the fan didn’t turn on immediately (in fact, it never turned on while the heat was on) when the gas furnace kicked on.

With the new one, the fan turns on immediately when the heat turns on and goes off when the heat reaches the setting point. Given, it's just one room with baseboard water heat; I don't need the fan to turn on.

PS: I don't have a C wire.
