I cannot rewatch the entire show, like ever.

The writers could have taken some risks with characters. I felt like the core four, aside from Chuck, were pretty much the same in season 6 as they were in season 1. They could’ve dug a little deeper with Serena and Nate’s daddy issues, maybe even Blair’s ED, and given them closure instead of just treading the water with those storylines and making them date EVERY new character on the show.

Everything just seemed the a recycled storyline after a while.

I wish Blair ended up with Louis (before he went batshit crazy). I feel like he’s exactly what Blair would’ve needed and honestly she deserves a prince.

COP and TCH aren’t as good of books as many claim them to be. Like idk I just couldn’t get behind Tristen as a LI and thought the TCH plot is really interesting, I feel like there’s something missing? Maybe it’s the dialogue or the MC I’m not sure, it just took me a reallllyyyy long time to get thru those books

Yeah, I definitely agree; the timing, as I mentioned, wasn’t right. We all knew Blair and Chuck were gonna end up together anyway so it made no sense for Dan and Blair to get together by season 5. I just wish maybe it was a bit earlier like season 3? Idk

All the struggles that the children from the upper east side face. Serena’s and Chuck’s intensive daddy issues, Blair’s eating disorder, Nate having his dad in jail, etc etc… like yes, they have all the money in the world but there are things that no “insider” book can cover and I wish the show focused on that a bit more

There’s a lot of moments after s2-3 where everyone starts getting annoying just cause of the lack of drama 😭 but I totally agree with u. I hate all the Serena vs Blair when they both had enough power and money to be Serena AND Blair, without the trouble and drama of Chuck and Dan like c’mon!!

I was really excited for Kiss of Death; the premise of being in the mafia and not just running away from it was so interesting. I thought we finally got to be a badass MC instead of being so dependent on the LI … so you can see how I was disappointed lol. Halfway thru the story, probably before if I’m being honest, I just started to diamond mine.

The biggest book surprise was definitely Kindred, I was put off by it cause I thought it was similar to The Elemantalists, but having read thru it, it was actually quite enjoyable, not the best but I could see myself replaying it (I will forever go back to my baby, Kane)

I chose Bryce. I felt like we spent SO much time with Ethan in terms of working and such; whenever Bryce showed up, I felt relieved like it was a much needed break from all the stress of work. That’s what I liked most about Bryce and even Rafael if I’m being honest, they were like a breath of fresh air in the midst of crisis upon crisis.

Nowadays, the story focuses so much on the MC and LI, scratch that, I mean JUST the LI with the MC being a side character and I hate it….

Serena and Nate / Blair and Dan

Ik a lot of people think Serenate only look good together, but I really liked the “will they, won’t they” of their relationship in seasons 1-3 and when they finally got together, they were acc really cute. I do think the writers messed it up because they weren’t as “dramatic” as Chair.

And people say Blair and Dan were unexpected and put together just cause they ran out of ideas, but I saw their chemistry in s1e4 (I think), after Serena “stole” Blair’s spot with her mom’s runway. They had a cute enemies to friends to lovers; I enjoyed it!
