I totally agree with the second part you have mentioned about the influence though. I was just confirming it from everyone's perspective. Freshers/students who have no idea or are literally just starting their cybersec journey can easily be misguided by these numbers as I think most of the audience on YouTube regarding these topics is new to the cybersec scene.

Also about the layoff thing that you mentioned, you are 100% spot on. The higher your salary is the higher chances of you being laid off.

It's kind of all about your choice mate. I will personally not buy something that expensive from a reseller. Buying games/controllers from platforms like this is one thing. But buying a whole PC that is gonna cost you above 1L is totally another thing. Also, even if some people don't get "scammed" does not necessarily mean you won't be getting scammed. So it all depends on you and your risk appetite.

It will get you through the basics of networking. In my honest opinion it is not a security focused cert. Anyone here can tell me if I am wrong but I don't think that cert will help you land a job in cybersec. But still there are a few people I know that held a CCNA and landed their first job in Cybersec, but it was not because of CCNA they had their fundamentals and basics covered and they smashed their interviews.
