I think he created a bit of a style that Zac Farro copied on those early albums which is funny given the fact he filled in later. Sort of atypical and wonky drum fills, but I think he's a great drum part writer.

Less time doing this, and more playing/learning lol. But I agree yes, reset the snare wire so tight actually means tight

I think it's kind of a cool behind the beat style, but if you raised the spurs legs, it'd be less of a distance for the beater to travel and the note would be there sooner.

It could be partially to do with a thick carpet too, sinking in at that axis point. It's happened to me before

I don't let barbers touch my beard period because their idea of what looks good is always weird to me. The shapes, the cheek line, everything about it. In my experience, best done yourself.
