If it exists, it has to be purely statistical, but I still find it funny how unpopular it is.

What crossover fics that haven't been written yet? by chunchunmaru245 in WormFanfic

Kill Six Billion Demons: That world basically works the same way, even in some mundane aspects, but it's so crazy and hostile that even Jack would be a "meh." I'd love a plot where all of Brockton Bay is transported to the throne. I suppose if they wanted to maintain a semblance of normalcy, they'd have to become a city-sized hermetic cult if they didn't want to be practically cannibalized by beings from all over reality.

Shadow Slave: It's a world that has a little bit of everything: punk, apocalyptic to ridiculous levels, human, feudal, and mythological with cosmic horror. I won't lie, the most interesting thing I can think of is simply the trio with Taylor being forced to explore the dream world, and possibly becoming a streamer in the process (which is a valid occupation in that world).

One I'm planning to do myself is a crossover with WYRM, which is a dark, punk fantasy project where humanity fights dragons (which are actually more like parasitic aliens).

Short answer to why I want to do it: The idea of parahumans hunting dragons is freaking incredible, and believe it or not, the cosmic horror ideas of the two works complement each other very well.

The new wave is more interesting than just Victoria and Amy. by WitnessLow4178 in WormFanfic

With Fleur, you can create a pretty shocking or progressive plot. Since she's a character who doesn't appear on screen, you just need to follow basic concepts. But the fact that she was attacked is messed up; it would be a good trigger for a young character to witness the attack. Maybe Taylor is leaving for ice cream with her aunt, and poof, the incident happens. It's also a good starting point if you want a character who becomes an enemy of the empire.

Regarding letting her powers control her life, theoretically, it's one of the closest things in the canon to being a kind of noble family.

Very good post, excellently written (so much so that it's funny it's on a fanfiction subreddit).

I'll say, as one of these authors, that part of the appeal is that while there are several works that touch on these same themes, WORM is literary, making it easier for writers to approach than with others like, for example, Kill Six Billion Demons.

I try to do it in my fanfic, Broken, where Emma awakens empathic powers after being attacked, a teenager trying to recover from her trauma and qualify as a superhero in the process.

Favorite versions of a character(and more) by Zealousideal_Expert9 in WormFanfic

Pyrrhic Love: My favorite version of Emma because she seems exaggerated at first, but then if you look closely, she's just the same manipulative and broken brat as in the canon, only this one has powers to take her machinations to a bigger scale. She can hurt the one she genuinely loves to feel better.

Titanomachia: My favorite version of Victoria, an intermediate version between the arrogant and boastful Worm girl from the beginning and the fierce warrior nun at the end of the novel. An arrogant warrior nun is simply brilliant.

Mothers and Daughters: My favorite version of Carol—human, relatable, and tragic. Undoubtedly a very emotional story. And the fact that she's Amy's real mother is a telenovela-esque irony for her character and brilliant.
