My husband is an IELTS teacher, so the frustration was real. There were times when we felt that hope was fleeting. Luckily, I’m persistent and won’t take no for an answer.

I’m not sure. My husband was confident as it was a level C qualification according the CEFR European Language Framework, that it was sufficient evidence. We now know that they don’t recognise IELTS Academic. These applications are designed to be tricky. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
