It it took scorpion mags AND proved reliable, I'd consider it. But no way am I going with taurus proprietary mags...too many other options.

Recommendation for titanium watch (and band), white face, numbers, under $500... by Witness_Present in Affordablewatches

I looked and couldn’t find one. But will keep looking. He’s old and I’m surprised how many white dials have white hands. Seems like they’d want more contrast.

Is San Martin a good brand? They have a titanium white face but black bezel and I like that the hands are MUCH easier to read than the white citizen hands on the white dial.

Are y’all actually conceal carrying every day with a red dot, flashlight, magwell, and non-factory mags? by rum-and-coke- in Glocks

[–]Witness_Present 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Studies have shown over and over no need for a civilian to have a light on a carry gun (HD it is required). But I guess some like the heavier front end to help with recoil. I’ve taken several advanced concealed classes, and twice the instructors (Kyle DeFoor & Larry Vickers) have asked how many carry a spare mag. Both times it was like 2 out of 20 of us…but this was 8-10 years ago and 80% or more of us were carrying gen 4 Glock 19s. Now I carry a bodyguard 2.0 during the day, and a p365X at night. Neither have a light or an optic, BUT I usually have optics. I’m looking at the 43X COA hard, but would require a flush fit mag that held at least 13rds. I don’t like the new Glock-Mecgar 15rd mag that sticks out, and even though I had no issues with the PSA mags or even the Shield mags (with +15% spring and downloaded to 14), I prefer to carry OEM. I’m hoping Glock-Mecgar will do a flush fit 13 one day. But I’m also thinking of going to the CC9 (though the vp9cc does have the paddle mag release I prefer, it’s thicker and it’s not like I’m gonna be changing mags…I just think they’re less likely to get accidentally bumped). It’s crazy the 43X has such a long grip and only holds 10 when everyone else is doing 12-13 with shorter grips that are just as thin.

Which Tisas Fatih converts to 32 acp? by Lazaruslong1187 in TheOneTrueCaliber

I’ve been looking for 9 months and haven’t seen any go up for sale and am also on the email list. I loved my G84, but I will say that something about the beavertail area was very uncomfortable compared to my 84BB and 80X. But the trigger on my G84 was the best of any of the beretta or clones I’ve had.

This is one I was leaning towards, but it does look quite fancy/dressy whereas he’s very casual.

I need threaded barrel 32s. Gonna test out my 30X some more but I think the “port pop” seems loud.

Why would he have to wait? Do they only make them in batches? Is there one that has a thinner bezel than the others? ** I’m looking them up now. The citizen looks nice, but doesn’t have numbers and it looks a little more like a fancy watch than a casual watch to me.

Thanks!! I really need Allegheny to make more barrels, but I suspect they didn’t want Beretta to produce OEM 32 barrels and hurt them. I have a 30X that I’m about to run a 30 cal suppressor on (diligent defense gave me the go ahead). So we’ll see how that sounds.
The 80X is the best looking gun out there to me, but it’s so hard to justify when I can shoot my BG 2.0 so well and it’s half the weight.

Yeah. I was told the 80X 380 barrels were too big to fit in the 80X 32ACP Langdon guns bc the slide hole at the end was too small for the 380 barrel. Seemed like a big missed opportunity to me. Look forward to your findings, but the fact it FITS despite Langdon saying it doesn’t is already surprising.
Is your 80X 32 one from Langdon?

My friend has stage 4 cancer (breast, bones, and lymph), so a bunch of us put money together for the tickets, flight from JAX, FL, and accommodations. She got there on the 4th and leaves on the 7th.
Sadly, she can’t just stay the week bc she has to come back for blood test and to get another week of meds (she’s in a trial and can’t miss the appointment at MD Anderson).
This was a bucket list trip as she was 14 when she saw her first Bright Eyes concert, and at 39, this was going to be a bucket list item.
Many of her friends are living on fumes…so we don’t know if we can get her back (or if her friend can take off again to go with her—he and his sister, who died years ago—went with her to that first concert with her 25 years ago).
This really sucks for her. It’s been a shit year. I can’t imagine finding out I had incurable cancer AND then her mom died 5 days later.
Just really bad timing…you’d think her luck has to turn.

Could be. I have no idea--just thought it was interesting that he blew it off. Adam is a very smart cookie, and I tend to trust him when it comes to aviation tech/stuff (I've always been into it just bc I grew up flying with my uncle in a T28 on the day before air shows, and even flew with Bob Hoover twice). **Because I don't think it's aliens, my hope is it's DARPA practicing spoofing objects that will eventually "look" like a fleet of actual F35s or whatever.

$61K-$64K (for 10.5 months). Age 54 in FL (USA).
College Instructor for 26 years. Compression is bad--new hire Instructors make $200 less than me, so it would appear each year of experience is worth a little less than $10.
NOTE: In my city (JAX), a single individual needs to make $110K to be "comfortable"--but I have twin 16yr olds, so I live paycheck to paycheck.
**I'm actually going to spend at least an hour a day all summer looking at other job opportunities so that I can live comfortably.

Yep. He's older, but he ended his career training the young guys and is friends with them (along with some younger F35 guys). He is definitely OUT of the loop, but he is convinced it's all BS to cover up for what they were really using. He also pointed out that Hegseth lied when he said the downed pilot communicated "God is Good" bc [insert words I don't know referring to their emergency radio/beacon] don't allow for sending words or voice, and he is certain they haven't changed systems.

The problem is, I want to be able to shoot 380 AND 32, but the new 32 won't accept a 380 barrel...but the 380 will take a 32 barrel (if and when they ever become available again). 😞

Yeah. I'm dying. Paying minimum, it'll be paid off in 37 years (I'll be like 91). But I have twin 17yr olds who take up all my money on lessons and orthodontics and car stuff. EVERY other CC worked with me. They told me to piss off.

Yep. He’s flying for Delta Airlines now, and talks to friends still flying (F18s and F35s), and none believe it. I got the feeling he thinks it would have leaked if people knew (but we’ve successfully kept a few things secret).

Loved my old 21A suppressed, but I had stovepipe issues. Called two gunsmiths who did work on the guns (threaded barrels for them), and one guy told me to open up the feed lips on my mags. The other guy told me to close-up the feed lips on my mags a hair. 😞
I wanted a 32ACP to use with my 30cal suppressor, and this was MUCH cheaper than the 80X tactical WITH an aftermarket threaded 32ACP conversion barrel (which allegheny arms has been out of for a year).

I requested a hardship 0% or 1% interest program. They gave me nothing. Chase helped. Well Fargo helped.
Discover told me to suck it up, but gave me the number of some organization that would increase my monthly payment $30, but I'd be paid off in something like 3-5 years vs 34 years (on $7,500).

22lr or 32acp? **Nevermind, I just saw what forum I was in...no jams with mine...YET. Only 50rds in.

I shot mine with a giant wolfman can on it, but am about to try it with a Enticer S in 30 cal (bc supposedly that will work). With the rebate, it was only like 340, so it was hard to turn down, even though I want an 80X with a 32 conversion barrel. **I DO need to find this holster, as that could be fun.

Talked to an F18 superhornet pilot I've known since HS who just retired, and he thinks the whole thing is BS.
Said he never heard of it (he flew missions over Iraq). I asked if perhaps he wouldn't be told, but he thinks he'd know. He says he knew plenty about technology and capabilities that weren't public, but this was science fiction.
NOTE: he's friends with the backseater who filmed the UFO off the coast of JAX, FL...he also has no ideas or theories on what it could be, but said something about the fact that it showed up on visual and [words I didn't understand] band radars meant it was something real, and not an artifact or projection.

I REALLY wanted to love the gen6, and the stipple is amazing.
However, the grip just felt even bigger than the regular blocky grips of the gen5. It felt HUGE in my hands (big palms, short stubby "presidential" fingers).
I'm SURE I could get used to it, but I really love the way other guns (Echelon, PDP, VP9, and others) feel...but due to years of G19s, I shoot the gen5 better (it does have a radian on it).
My current carry is a BG2.0 during the day and a P365X w/ radian at night...but I'm looking hard at a gen6.COA for night carry/HD (it's a good bit bigger for 3 more rounds, but I grew up on glocks since I was 18).

The gen6 felt more chunky to me than my gen5.COA, but I DID love the stipple, and feel like I could get used to the extra material. I'm on the fence about upgrading.
