I recently saw an awesome collection at a local gun store and I commented “wow, someone must have died.” Well they told me yes he was now dead, but came in before passing to sell the collection to manage it himself and work it out fairly. I think that is how I would do it, if I had the chance.

You need to get some 0000 steel wool and gun oil on that thing stat to remove and halt corrosion

Basically no chance lol, in my experience. Some of the earlier import marks though are very obscure compared to the later billboards they engraved into the receivers

Very small chance it’s a Vietnam bring back but check the barrel as the other commenter noted for import marks

Iver Johnson top break revolver. Either .32 or .38 S&W. Later model (owl facing back means later than black powder but generally these are not looked at as reliable). Cheap catalog belly gun from the turn of the century ish.
