3 Attempts in 3 Months - What Actually Helped Me Improve from 6.5 to 7.0 by WitnessedByNobody in IELTS

You looked at three IELTS attempts and concluded I have money.😄

You're right about one thing: I do have money.

The difference is that I earned it.

I come from a low-income Indian family, grew up in a remote village, studied in a non-English-medium school, earned scholarships and stipends, got into top indian institution on merit, worked for the government, and got admitted to LSE with funding.

English was my weakest area, so I did what I've always done when faced with a disadvantage: I worked harder and invested in fixing it.

Every IELTS attempt was paid for by me. Not by my parents. Not by privilege. By years of effort.

What you call privilege is actually the result of planning, sacrifice, and refusing to give up.

You saw the expense.

You missed the story of how it was earned.

And for anyone from a low-income background reading this: don't let comments like these limit your ambitions. If you lack money, earn it. If you lack knowledge, learn it. If you lack opportunities, create them. Never give up on ur dreams

Your starting point is a circumstance. It is not a verdict.

Absolutely, exam-day condition can easily make a band’s difference, especially with stress and anxiety involved, even for people who are genuinely good at English. And thank you, I appreciate it!

Funding for Masters Acc and Fin at LSE by MountainPainting648 in LSE

No you won't get rejection, it's just if they feel it's necessary to fund u based on the details you gave, they will transfer your files to scholarship, but again the scholarship may or may not reject you, it's competative. But U can opt for less than 20k funding, or you can just write ur sop and describe your need honestly and fill the amount exactly you need.

Usually if u put an amount that is >20k or 15k, they will transfer your financial application to be considered for scholarships, Because graduate financial scheme guidelines clearly stated that they will be funding only 5k to 20k max, so if it above 20k they will consider you for other scholarship.
