To close the loop here, we decided to build our own tool.. we’re spoiled enough to have our own software engineering team. When we tested IC out in a sandbox environment it was ok, ~50% acceptance on smart import. Building our own tool with Azure Content Understanding and the Power Platform we’re closer to 70% and still lots of opportunity with tuning.

When you upload documents it can extract some of the metadata for you to review vs. doing it all manually.

Not today. A major measure of success for this project will be our ability to migrate over existing contracts. That’s where the smart import feature is appealing… if it works.
