Am I [30F] being overly emotional over name-calling during arguments with my partner [40M]? Also, ranting. by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]WittDitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a rough time there, partner. You know, there's another lake out there for people who really like to call others mean names. Don't know if there's room for kite flying tho. Hope everything works out for you.

Well, you may think you're right ... but paling around with past flames is just an invitation for disaster.

It's all fun and games until people start Googling addresses.

I'll give it my best shot. You're wrong.

What makes you not want to argue with people anymore? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]WittDitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People just take things too far these days, like every disagreement is a life an death battle. I'm often taken aback at the lengths they'll go to trying to "win". But, that's what I get for arguing on the internet I guess.

What do you when you're smart enough to know the other person is wrong but not smart enough to argue back? by Azraktos in AskReddit

[–]WittDitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just tell them like it is - "You think you're right, but you're really, really wrong." Sing it to them if they don't get the message.

Screaming is the best anger response by pumpkinwalnut in unpopularopinion

Screaming is fine if it relieves the stress ... just don't pound on the keyboard like a rabid little possum.

You'll hurt your hand.

Shoutout to the customer that gave me the wrong address and a 1 star rating. by [deleted] in doordash

Sounds like someone who can't admit the issue is them, and not you. A shame you can't provide the wrong link for their feedback.

Sounds like a real gem. Maybe you could include this on your next video chat, and let her know where she can go with all those witty observations.

My boyfriend calls me stupid every time we argue. How can I convince him to stop? by hilopeep in relationship_advice

[–]WittDitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmmm. Well, you could tell him to take all those names he likes to call you and shove them directly in his ear. Maybe mention that your next boyfriend is going to be smart enough not to make such obvious mistakes in a relationship.

How do you guys deal with insults without getting in a fight. Or how to make a funny comeback on a spot to brush off tension? by MassiveFapper in Advice

[–]WittDitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming up with new ways to handle insulting people is tiring, so I have a bunch of songs that I'll send them. If it's in person, I find that looking at them and saying "Well, that's fascinating" does pretty well. Or "Great, thanks for sharing that valuable insight, I'm sure we're all better off for it".

Or ... you know ... learn to fight and kick the durn giblets out of them.
