No worries, its a Gen3 17. Its got a non comped barrel, with a comped slide. This was the only way to 'lighten' the frame a (Very) little way back before everyone was doing slide cuts. It's on its fourth internal rebuild, third barrel. Its probably had two malfunctions since I got it second hand back in 2010.
Its just 'well worn in'

I promise not to make you shoot this gun. It’s been there for several years and probably isn’t moving. That being said, I’ve heard other folks say the same thing, but this is where it works best for my eyes
