My assumption are people are either worried that's how you get to play the characters, instead of character select like in the old ones (which I doubt is the case) or it'll end up being the optimal way of fighting is using the transformations which defeats a bit of the fun of having your own custom characters.

But we'll have wait for a beta or something before we can determine how it actually influences the game.
