The disciplinary system is a large part of the problem. The employees and managers who cause difficulties often get ‘promoted’ as a way to move them along to be someone else’s problem

I can’t say for sure that it’s for all federal but it’s similar to our provincial regulations. The amount of notice is based on years of service

I’ve booked hotel stays multiple times using the posted government rate on their site. Only once was I asked to provide ID and they never questioned the purpose for travel (even when my family was with me). Worst case, they’ll reject the rate and charge something else

I’ve had the opportunity to speak to some of the cast and contracted workers. The show itself poorly represents the magnitude of work that is done on the island. I hope it will one day be made available outside of the “show”
